This a real public house with great service and beautiful food, you can't go wrong in booking a table here, lovely staff and a great environment. Sunday lunch is a must. This is a family run business that believes in providing good value food and at a sensible price. They even have rooms to stay in which are close to... More

Booked a table of 5, arrived as a 7 but they couldn't find our booking. Wasn't an issue as they promptly found us a table in the back room. Service was lovely, warm and friendly. Food was great, everyone complimented each dish. Sandwiches were huge! Thoroughly recommend if you're in the area and fancy a good ol' pub lunch!

Had a most scrumptious lunch served by efficient friendly staff. The pub is of a traditional style with a warm friendly atmosphere. Plenty to eat and we didnt have to wait long at all. There were 7 of us all having different things and everyone was really pleased with their meal. Also have to say not expensive at all. Highly... More

We were walk in customers and clearly should have booked this popular restaurant. Non the less we were accommodated and enjoyed a superb Sunday Roast Beef dinner. Would describe the Ivy House as a Traditional Country Pub with warm ambiance with a good selection of ales and wines. The table staff were friendly and attentive. The meal was ample, well... More

Decided to give it a try as we hadn't been there for years. I think I picked the wrong dish, fish pie, it looked insipid, had not been browned on the top, didn't taste of much, the veg was very strange too. On the bright side my husband had the ribs and fries, which were the best I had ever tasted,... More

Went for Sunday lunch to the Ivy House with some family who had been there before and highly recommended a return. The food was very good - a great standard of good pub/restaurant food. The dish sizes were generous and I felt good value for the quality and flavour and the venue is really cosy and welcoming.

Held a family birthday lunch at the Ivy House. Had the whole of the back restaurant room / area for our party of 16. Service was good and food was great and filling! Would definitely come here again. Plenty of parking.

This hotel is a very nice place to stay the room was comfortable and the bar area was very nice. Gave it a 3 due to the shower not being delimed at all by the looks of it. Also dinner we had was great even tho the waitress gave us the wrong order and then changed it. The breakfast was... More

The welcome is good. The young lady with the glasses and lady with the tattoos are friendly and efficient. Try the garden, a great place to veg with a beer and snack. A real sun trap. They have a extensive selection of ales, wines and spirits. The burger is very tasty. A well run pub-restaurant-hotel.
