Amazing/10!!! This resort is amazing amazing amazing! This is the highlight of both my partner & my trip! I never knew I can fall in love with a resort so easily but The Shore is truly the best.
During check in, there were quite a lot of people at the lobby and I was shocked! I thought nobody knew about this resort and I’m initially disappointed cos we wanted a quiet, relaxing vacation. But guess what??? It felt like the whole place belong to us!
Despite the crowd, check in was smooth and efficient - compared to most hotels. Comes with a nice drink and rice cracker snack which I love! Then we were sent to our room with a buggy - a 24 hours service!! How amazing is that! I really appreciate that cos it’s not an easy feat walking up to my room especially when I stayed right at the top! (In love villa) they said to wait 5-10 mins after calling the buggy but I swear each time I waited less than 3 minutes and the buggy is right outside my door!
The room was the best, and the private pool right in front of the bed, best view in the world. Room comes with a speaker and we can play our songs out loud. Two sinks, two showers, simply amazing! And a lovely bathtub that fits 2. Bed was comfortable as well!
My favourite part is the breakfast - you can choose to go to the restaurant (right beside the beautiful private beach) or have it sent to you room (complimentary) or get a floating breakfast (chargeable and better to order beforehand). Didn’t managed to get the floating breakfast sadly but had the breakfast sent to my room both days. Spread was amazing, food was great and service is just wonderful. They set up the table with a table cloth and just made everything felt so luxurious!
I don’t know what the boss of the resort does but I think he/she treats their staff extremely well because they are all super friendly and they are so happy to see us all the time!! I feel so happy every where I go in the resort!
Had a private dinner - romantic seafood dinner on the sand. Food was the best ever, it’s splendid! The chef was cooking right beside us and it’s really good. The seafood was so fresh! Coconut soup was the bomb!! We both enjoyed ourselves extremely much. And of course, our server, made our night an even better one! He was humorous and sweet. Realised I didn’t enjoy my cocktail cos I don’t fancy sweet drinks, he brought a coconut for me cos he thought it was refreshing! How sweet :)
Hotel has a private beach, which I appreciate because not much crowd and able to take a lot of beautiful pictures! It also has lots of places to explore as you walk along the “romantic walk”. I could stay here forever. And I would definitely come back again. Highly recommended to anyone who is interested to stay here! Price point might be slightly higher but it’s 100% worth it!
Cons : didn’t like the ironing board, cos my dresses are so long and flowy, would prefer a bigger standing ironing board.
Slightly far from the city but then again, staying at this villa makes you not wanna go out anymore. So it doesn’t really matter too much to us.

All I can do here is really echo many previous reviews because The Shore is simply stunning in many ways. The Shore experience for us started with location, ambiance and the room as that's what hits you on arrival. The location was perfect, cut into the side of the hill at the end of Kata Noi beach, providing stunning views across the bay and perfect viewing for sunsets with a cocktail. It's adults only and has a sense of calm serenity everywhere with pretty much all guests being couples, just doing their own thing quietly and it exudes relaxation. However, you're only a walk or a Tuk Tuk from some action. We loved the ability to dip in and dip out back to the luxury of the Shore. Visits to Patong, Karon and Kata are inexpensive and easy. We had a Sea View Room which was beautiful. Incredible view across the bay and we loved the balcony pool, day bed and outside seating area. Loads of space, all the luxury you want and well maintained and cleaned. The little daily treats and bed decorations were amongst those little touches that made The Shore such an experience. I can't really comment too much about the food as, across 13 nights, we tended to eat out most nights to experience real Thai food. The breakfast though was great, some mornings it could be a bit of a struggle for my vegetarian wife but that was minor. The complementary afternoon tea was lovely. We ate once at The Harbour which was fantastic. Our only other evening dinner in The Shore was spectacular though. We chose the Dinner in the Sand experience for my wife's birthday and I'd strongly recommend this to all. The food was exceptional, our private waiter and chef were brilliant and the romantic setting could not have been better. We have done special dining experiences in the Maldives that we thought could never be topped but this matched them easily. A truly special evening and I'm up against it to beat that on future birthdays! My final and most important mention must go to the staff and I mean all the staff from front of house to the hard working grounds staff and maintenance team. There is a reason why this is called The Land of Smiles and the staff at The Shore embody this. Everybody we engaged with or just happen to walk past provided excellent service or just gave a cheery smile to wish us a good day, it makes it a happy place. The guys who drive the buggies are brilliant, joking, laughing, full of tips and hints and even the odd compliment for my wife which made her happy. One little tip. The Shore is cut into a hillside as I mentioned and the buggy service around the estate is fantastic. However, some of the rooms, even after being dropped off by the buggy, do still have some steps to climb, ours had 61! If your knees are a bit dodgy it might be worth pointing that out to customer services in advance so they can make sure your room works for you. Overall, there is nothing to fault at The Shore, we loved it, it's amazing and we will return!

We had read some great reviews of this hotel, so our expectations were high. We were not disappointed, far from it. From the moment we arrived we were treated like ‘Royalty’ The staff were & have been fantastic throughout our 8 night stay. Nothing, no matter how small was too much trouble. Not one person greeted us without a smile or asked was there anything they could do for us?
The whole hotel is immaculate & spotlessly clean & is kept so during the day. Daily clean towels rolled & stored ready for use not just put on the end of the bed. Toiletries replaced as soon as they are used. The attention to detail is breathtaking. The food is very well presented & delicious. The breakfast’s in particular are a foodie delight. If you can’t find something you like there must be something wrong with you. If your half board? Dinner can be a bit more limiting if you don’t like fish. As the set menu is dominated by it. However you can pick off the lunchtime one if you wish or pick from the ‘A la Cart’ & you pay the difference.
The hotel is set in the quieter part of town away from the crowds. It’s only 200 Bart for a taxi into town (about a fiver) so no big deal.
The one thing we did miss & I think the hotel could do or provide is a ‘Pre or Post drinks bar. Somewhere you could sit in comfortable armchairs in comfortable surroundings & have a drink & coffee after your evening meal. Sadly this is lacking as the bar or orders for drinks stop at 10pm. Told you could use the hotel next door as they I believe stay open till 11:45pm but who wants to go next door? Especially when the hotel isn’t as nice as the one your staying in!!!.
All in all, a wonderful hotel & we would recommend staying if you just want to chill out & be pampered. You won’t be disappointed I promise.

Just enjoying our last of 10 nights at the Shore. First and foremost the hotel/ villas are lovely, as is every single one of the staff here. Even the gardeners on the way down to the pool will stop what they are doing to say good morning with a beaming smile. We had Romance villa 8875 which is in a great position and has a reasonably private deck/pool, rooms are serviced impeccably. We have eaten a couple of times at the harbour in the hotel which was lovely and a private dinner tonight on the kissing gate. La Scala is very nice at the Katathani and Mom Tris (walk up at lunchtime and choose your table) - best day trip we had was a Long Tail Boat right from outside the hotel, booked him for the day (5,000 baht) and he took us snorkelling, Buddha Island and then Bon Island for lunch at Dawns restaurant on the beach - fantastic day! Been to a couple of nearby beaches but not as nice as Kata Noi (hotel beach). The Blue Shark beach bar near the hotel (independent) is a lovely break at lunchtime for a drink and snack (spring rolls and chicken satay). Only constructive criticism would be for the hotel to provide a bit more entertainment and have singers every night and for them to play until at least 10:30 and be nice to have some traditional dancers one night for a show! Great place - you will enjoy (top tip! Day beds all reserved by 8am so get up early)

The Shore is at the end of Kat Noi beach and is made up of villas which are located on the hillside at various levels. They have a pleasing outlook over the bay.
We stayed in a sea view villa with pool, which was large and well laid out. The bedroom was lovely, having a big comfy double bed and amazing floor to ceiling windows that looked out over the bay, and relatively private being midway on the hillside. The bathroom was also large having everything we could need. There was no shortage of fresh towels and the bed linen was refreshed so everything was always very nice (you do have the option to have less linen and towel changes if you prefer).
The pool part of the villa and terrace room was a little disappointing, especially for the price. Whilst the pool was a good size and had great views, it only got the sun from about 14:30 in the afternoon . The sun beds were in the pool and there was no outside seating/terrace, so we found it a bit cumbersome to use. The room did look like it needed a bit of attention in parts and an infrastructure clean along with a coat of paint.
The general pool area was very nice and there were comfy beds and chairs and plenty of towels. There was also a salt water pool and a pool bar service, although no actual pool bar. The main restaurant, The Harbour, was really nice, having a lovely outside and inside eating area. Everything was very well presented, and there was an amazing choice for breakfast - probably the best part of the day!
We enjoyed a massage at the spa which was again very well presented and a professional massage – lovely! We also enjoyed Yoga that was offered morning and evening, the evening session being in the most idyllic setting.
The Shore is part of the Katathani hotel group, and Kata Noi beach had a few Katatani hotels to meet the needs of diverse customers. We found it great that The Shore guests could use the facilities in any of these hotels, including restaurants, bars and shops and we could seamlessly use these facilities putting the bill on our room.
The staff at The Shore were excellent and couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable, and this followed through in the other hotels. The buggy service that took us to our room and back (as it was a bit of a steep climb) was amazing, also taking us to and from the other hotels and bars as we wanted. Nobody could have done more and they were so friendly and happy all the time.
It would be difficult not to return after our experience.

We were at The Shore for several days - and it was one of our most amazing stays we ever had.
For starters you can‘t beat the location, far off the troublesome Phuket areas.
The resort has a throughout excellent and attentive staff. It is Anvers steep resort but due to the buggy shuttle services you don’t have to walk if you don’t want to.
Our food was half board which means you can choose set menus at five restaurants at Kata Noi Beach. We liked The Harbour and Channada the most. But also Fisherman’s Wharf is quite nice.
The breakfast was awesome as the complimentary tea time snacks and drinks were too.
We recommend strongly the category „Seaview Pool Villa Romance“, especially # 8897 up the hill.
You can go to the beach via a stair and enjoy bathing or borrow snorkeling equipment.
All at all - if you decide to stay here it will be worth even the quite high prices. Especially honeymooners should find a great spot here.
We would come back again!

The views from these adults only villas are a stand out. The villas themselves are beautiful in a Hampton's whitewash style. Our bed was great, very comfortable with an extensive pillow menu. The beach on which it's located is also a very nice swimming beach. There are however two factors that stop me from rating this property as excellent. The first is that whilst the staff are extremely well mannered and friendly, it feels as though they are only giving rehearsed lines when you speak with them. For the sort of room rate you pay here I think it's fair to say you should get more personalized service and staff need to be empowered to talk a little more freely. The second issue we had was in regard to food. Breakfast was very good but could be better with a chef cooking fresh pancakes for example, rather than guests using a machine. Dinner options were a Thai restaurant which was so heavily theatrical in it's menu and food presentation that you wouldn't be inclined to eat there more than once during your stay. The same could be said of the beachfront restaurant. It would have been nice to get some basic Thai staples which we would have been happy to have more than once.Don't get me wrong, the food and service was very good, and the villas are gorgeous, but with a few tweaks it could be exceptional.

My husband and I stayed at "The Shore" for only 3 nights a few weeks ago (early December) - we really had an amazing stay and would recommend the hotel to all couples who want a relaxing beach holiday.
We stayed in a seaview villa romance - which had a view of the beach, a private pool, a shower with two shower heads, a bathtub and an outdoor lounge setting.
The room itself was very comfortable. The aircon kept the place cool and was quiet so it didn't disrupt your sleep. You could keep the room very dark at night - we stayed in Phuket at 3 different properties and we had our best night sleep at The Shore.
The room was spacious with enough room to store your luggage and clothes without feeling cramped. The showers were great, plenty of pressure and was always warm.
The private pool was well maintained, it was a little nippy but served our purposes well. To be honest the beach was amazing so we did most of our swimming there, but it was nice to be able to have a quick dip at night.
We didn't use the lounge outside, there was no shade and we didn't want to get roasted.
My husband used the gym, I was told it was reasonable enough.
Breakfast was pretty reasonable buffet with some fresh to order items.
We had quite a few cocktails during our stay and while they were quite pricey for Thailand they were delicious.
You can walk down some steps to the beach, Nai Yang beach is about 800 meters long and was beautiful. The water was so warm and welcoming, we went for several swims each day it was fantastic.
There are some bars and restaurants nearby but there aren't heaps of options in walking distance, so if this is a key criteria for you then you best go elsewhere (or be willing to get a taxi).
Overall our stay was fantastic, my only gripe is that the hotel is very expensive. The quality of the room is fantastic, but you are paying for it!

I've been really lucky to travel the world and stay in some pretty magnificent places in my life... But this has to be top 5. This was truly a magnificent occasion, topped by extraordinary service, surreal views, the ultimate serenity, and romantic rooms. This adult only resort guarantees absolute luxury and serenity, given it is an adults only resort. The staff at The Shore are discreet, kind-hearted, accommodating, and would bend over backwards to make your stay more enjoyable. The rooms; perched on top of a beautiful mountain overlook the crystal clear ocean. They are really generous sized, with glass bathrooms, and really comfortable bedding. We only dined for breakfast, and the selection was good, but not incredible, which may have been the only letdown of our whole experience. We had room service once for lunch though, and it was brilliant. This hotel do not expect guests to walk anywhere... They encourage you to call a buggy, and arrive to your room within minutes to whisk you away. Private drivers (at taxi prices) are arranged for you to travel into town (around 20-25 mins away) Our stay was fantastic; and we recommend this resort to everyone we know. Whilst it's disappointing to see that they've raised their prices significantly since we stayed, we hope to be back again one day.

First thing before taking my review on board if you are thinking of booking this hotel. I do travel a lot with work alone and I’m very fortunate to stay in a lot of 5 star hotels, so I do feel like I notice when some lack compared to others. The week before Phuket we stayed at the six senses in koh Yao noi. So my expectations were maybe too high or this hotel should be a 4 star.
The hotel lacked maintenance and more focus is put in to making it good with a filter for Instagramable content. The paint work needs re doing. The rooms in the pictures looked beautiful but in reality the room we got the pool was filled with leaves on arrival we couldn’t go in there. I understand there are trees but I think when first showing a room to your guests the pool and sun beds should be cleaned. It wasn’t appealing at all and the outside furniture looks tired. We went for the villa romance, the views were nothing like what was pictured. Very miss leading , we had 3 apartments infront of us and loads of trees.
It’s a hotel where some angles captured in a picture look lovely but in reality for example the outside restaurant you are sitting next to what sounds like an electricity pylon about to explode, you don’t see that in the pictures. You also don’t see how messy the beach gets right infront of the infinity pool. It is a public beach so I don’t think it’s the hotel’s responsibility (or fault at all) however I think for the hotels own benefit you should be ensuring it’s as clear as possible infront of the infinity pool. We arrived at 3pm and it looked like a land fill infront of the main pool. It was so disappointing, the following morning it was being cleared up by what looked like local authorities but again first impressions count for a lot and if it was a 3 or 4 star hotel maybe that’s acceptable. But I feel like for 5 star A couple workers could spend 15 minutes bagging up all the plastics in the afternoon.
The food for dinner was unfortunately not cooked to a 5 star standard, I chewed my squid for 3 minutes before I could swallow it, we also waited an hour and a half for our starter. Which again more thought has been put in to the food for Instagram with the pretty decorations and suspending skewers with smoke pouring out from underneath things. Would of been great if the food was cooked to the same standard it was presented to us at. For the price of it it’s not worth it at all and I could get a better Thai meal in the uk which I shouldn’t be able to say.
Breakfast was maybe one of the worst buffets I’ve seen. Again for a 5star hotel invest in some quality!! really It was the last straw for me we left and our travel company moved our booking to another 5 star hotel for the same price which was 10 x better.
The staff overall I didn’t feel were trained to a high level of customer service (apart from one I forgot his name but he was lovely), only when we wanted to leave were they trying to go above and beyond. To their credit they had offered to show us a room before we left the following day, but because of poor first impressions I wasn’t ready to waste any more of my holiday there.

Not the shore, but right next door at the sister property. Katathani. Ask Reception for information or look in your villa in the information they leave you. Lastly walk down to main reception at Katathani. You have all access there and to their restaurants. Don’t forget restaurants on the street, they are good. Enjoy!
There are more places to choose from in the Kata Noi Beach area.
