I was lucky enough to attend a friend's wedding last summer and she definitely picked one of the most magical places she could. As if Tuscany isn't a treasure itself, this country farmhouse split into apartments is set out in the velvet greenery of the hills and just breathes relaxation into every limb. The views and grounds are absolutely breathtaking...

Le Macchie is lovely and secluded with several accommodation options. A car is a must but the nearby villages are all worth several visits and provide good shopping and excellent dining options. Moraiolo was just for 2 and absolutely perfect.

We have visited Le Macchie 2 times. Once when we were a couple and again in 2007 as a family of 3 + grandparants. The first time we stayed in the small one bed, the second time in one of the 3 bedroom houses. The farmhouses/accommodation have been beautifully restored by Andrea the owner. He has remained very true to local...

Having longed to visit Tuscany for over 20 years, the dream finally came true this summer. The fact that we stayed at Le Macchie was no small part of that dream - in fact, it made our holiday perfect. The situation, the accommodation, the facilities were all far more than we had hoped for and I cannot imagine finding anywhere...

This is not a hotel - it is a "farm Stay" type property. Out of town but very peaceful. Plenty of outdoor space, good appointments.

Everything about our stay here was delightful! It was easy to make arrangements, the accommodations and view were spectacular, and the Italian hospitality the best! Many little Tuscan hill towns were accessible by car, along with fabulous local cuisine. We would love to return some day.

Le Macchie is placed on the side of a hill, with beautiful panorama on the Orcia Valley underneath. Nice forest above the farmhouse to take a walk or bike aorund. Interesting clay hills at walking distance. Perfect positioning to visit the surrounding natural and historical beauties - there were so many, such as Monticchiello, Pienza, Montepulciano, Bagnovignoni, Mount Amiata... I...

I just got back from a week at Le Macchie with my boyfriend and some friends and felt I should pass on knowledge of this fantastic place to others, it really is a great find and good value. There were 6 of us so we stayed in one of the larger apartments, Oriolo, which had plenty of space and even...
