Ismael and Patrick we miss you!!! They are so wonderful they deserve salary increases. We can't speak highly enough of them. They will provide any and everything that you could possibly ask for!!! My only regret is not taking more cash to tip them even more than I did. Wifi is spotty and only available at the bar. However Patrick... More

Excellent service. Very Profesional. 100% satisfaction. Ismail, Patrick and the rest of the staff get an A+. Highly recommend. Don't miss out. The room was spacious. They even let us use their Hotspot and made me feel like a king. The food was the best I've had since I've been in Africa for 3 weeks. Fresh produce comes from their... More

This was a great hotel tucked away down a very bumpy road outside Lake Manyara. We were booked here through ANDA Safaris and had a fantastic stay- the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I suppose they had a bit more time to cater to the four of us since we were the only ones staying at the lodge that... More

The staff was excellent- friendly, helpful and professional! The food was delicious- breakfast, lunch boxes for safari as well as dinner. The grounds were beautiful- well maintained gardens, nice pool and grassy areas. The bar and dining areas were very nice. There were a number of games, books, magazines, soccer balls and frisbees available. The rooms were nice, airy and... More

Beautiful reprieve from the dust and busy goings on of Karatu. Went on a safari group tour and stayed two nights at this amazing lodge one night before visiting the Serengeti and one night after. The food was fantastic and Rory the Irish owner and his Tanzanian wife made the stayed memorable. Perfect hosts.

I hate to leave a mediocre review... The staff were great, but we left a little frustrated because we lost electricity in our room completely and asked several times for them to fix it to no resolve. They never offered for us to change rooms either, which was the frustrating part. There's no phones in the rooms, so the last... More

There's a short bumpy road that takes you to Octagon, but don't be discouraged The place is quiet and surrounded by flowering shrubs and trees (and crested cranes!), the rooms are clean and private. We had breakfast with the owner, a delightful gentleman who runs another hotel in Nairobi. Wi-Fi in public places only.

This lodge is especially enjoyable for the lushing tropical garden surrounding the cottages. You wake up in the morning with the chant of countless birds singing. If you love nature, and if you love birding, you'll love this place. Great food, abundant lunch-boxes, all in all a great value for the money.

Very comfortable lodge with a great multi-course meal for dinner. The location is on a large set of grounds, excellent grounds kept with ferns, banana trees and lots of other things I can't recognize. There's even creeping vine tunnels that you have to walk through. Lodges are basically semi-detached cottages. Very large, with up to 4 beds (2 twin and... More
