Very much improved after recent refurbishment, serving excellent food and great selection of drinks. Great outdoor area looking across the moor. Very family friendly. Very popular with the locals. Would recommend.

We stopped off for a late lunch and received a very warm welcome from Tom who was working alone and did an excellent job of running the place and serving everyone with a smile and joke. My sister and I had very tasty chicken salads, my moms chicken burger was nice but could have been seasoned a bit more. Tom...

We went to the Crown for a birthday celebration. From the very start we were welcomed into the restaurant by Anna who took care of us from start to finish. She was attentive and ensured that our order was taken swiftly and that our food came without delay. She really had the personal touch and looked after us with a...

We visited this place twice in 2 weeks, it was so good. Excellent value for money, the staff were lovely. Food was great, we had a farewell meal for our 3 kids off to uni, so it was great to find somewhere we could all find something on the menu to enjoy.

Perfect meal with the perfect...

Good food service and surroundings. Old photo here...now the place is painted green outside. Tastefully decorated. Real fire. Good value as well. I would recommend. Very quick and friendly service and genrous portions. Quite a traditional menu but well executed.

Stayed for one night on a business trip and thought was good! Friendly welcome, shown to the room (outside in the courtyard) which was homely, comfortable and well appointed. Had a couple of drinks in the pub, good beer and friendly service again, though did not eat here. Breakfast was good and cooked to order in the morning. Would return...
