We've been here a few times over the years mainly when walking. This is the perfect pit stop for Ridgeway walks, set down at the foot of a steep escapement. The only problem is if you have a large lunch it's a hard walk back up. Great choice of beers and excellent menu. We had veg soup, Beetroot and stilton... More

Went for lunch with good friends, so company was very enjoyable. The food is just OK Fish and frozen oven chips garnish of two lettuce leaves and half a strawberry REALLY! With all the good eating places in this area I will not be rushing back

Myself and my mother were walking along Beacon Hill and Pulpit Hill and I ate a warm bacon, chicken and avocado salad whilst my mum had ham, egg and chips with peas and a salad. I really enjoyed the avocado the most because it was very tasty and I also liked the tomatoes and salad as well as the chicken... More

A lovely little country pub with fantastic food. The Sunday lunch is the best I've had in any restaurant or pub, the meat is always tasty and tender, with crispy roast potatoes and perfectly cooked veg. I would highly recommend a visit.

Great location surrounded by wooded walks. Lovely family room, if a little expensive, and difficult to get the temperature right. The pub feels more like a cafe than the old community boozer it no doubt once was, lacking character. The menu didn't grab us so we ate a great curry at Coco Tamarind down the road. Breakfast menu was limited... More

This pub/restaurant is the place my complete family use for all celebrations. We have spent many birthdays and anniversaries here and would thoroughly recommend the food. Great selection of beer too. Very friendly and never a bad meal. Not over expensive but make sure you're hungry before ordering as the meals are large. Close to The Ridgeway path for walkers... More

We always make sure we visit the Plough at least once when visiting family in the area. We have always found the meals to be very tasty and generously portioned. The main menu is traditional pub grub although the specials board always has some interesting dishes. The location is a little out of the way so you won't stumble across... More

We booked at the last minute and they just squeezed us in. We both ordered the roast lamb and it arrived in double quick time, which was very impressive - especially as they were so busy. It was a very good plateful, beautifully cooked veg and all really tasty. Just what you want for a Sunday roast. All the roasts... More

We were delighted when we came across this pub on our walk from Wendover to Princess Risborough (and back). When we arrived the welcome was very warm and friendly.. The specials board looked very interesting but we chose from the main menu and were very pleased with our meals. Small portions are on offer and it would have been better... More

As fairly regular users of The Plough, as we find it excellent value for money and great for all the family, sad to say our experience was not the same on our latest visit. Lack lustre food and the specials board was not as good as we have enjoyed in the past. It would seem that staff and management have... More
