Stayed here for one night on Saturday 18th of August. the room { room1} was clean and tidy, comfortable bed, and all in all we were quite satisfied ,If in the area, and needed a bed for the night we would no objections to staying...More

We arrived hungry after a day's walking with only snacks to keep us going and enjoyed lasagne and chips with salad, followed by a fruit crumble with custard. Good grub, nothing too fancy. St Austell and Wadworth's beers available. Very pleasant.

Another nice stay at the Red Lion. Jerry is a welcoming host, the rooms are comfortable if a little dated in places, ample parking and a superb pub downstairs. Breakfast is a cold selection in the room which works fine

Not a gastropub. Basic menu. Solid food with no frills. Good choice of drinks including real ales and lagers. Serice a little dramaticly overstressed when three sets of families walked in at lunch. Weird sign on the door saying no children without prior arrangement. Yet...More
