The staff is extremely helpful and very nice. It is definitely worth to come back just for that. The hotel is in Salazie which is an excellent spot to start hiking tours in the Cirque de Salzie and Cirque du Mafate. The hike from Col de Boef do La Nouvelle is breathtaking. The food was excellent. We stayed over Christmas and a very nice menu was prepared.

The rooms are very tiny and basic. However, this is not critical since most people will only sleep there after long hikes.

Speaking of sleeping... . The hotel is situated in the city centre. Opposite is an ATM which is the most frequented place in the whole small town. Every five minutes a small hatchback with loud music stops and people get out of the car the get money. One day, at 4am in the morning, a guy started to use his 500 horsepower leaf vacuum to clean the street in fron of the hotel. Very annoying....

we spent 2 nights at the hotel and tried to limit the time spent at the hotel. The room was small and relatively clean. There was no window so the door was the only way to get fresh air - not really convenient for the night. Breakfast was reduced to the necessary, due to lack of attention of the service it was not possible to get a second cup of coffee.

Location is ok if you want to have a base at Cirque de Salazie.
