Hotel with good parking, superb for one night stops. Rooms are clean but on the other hand shabby. Wifi accessible in the whole hotel, dinners are better then breakfasts. Some rooms have magnicifent view on mountains.

We chose Les Geraniums for its location, ie proximity to the volcano. It was slightly scruffy in certain areas and not too well maintained, for example there was hardly any lighting in the bedroom. However, having said this , we did have a wonderful time there. It was quiet, bed was comfortable, the staff were very friendly and sweet. The...

Looks good in public areas, but once you get into a room, it is shabby. Bad paintwork and black mould in showers. Chef is below par for the ambiance of the restaurant, ordered duck starter and the duck was like an old boot, and ordered fillet steak rare but got medium rare in the centre and well done on the...

Fantastic views. Wonderful setting. You can hear some noise thru the walls, but that's a small downside to an otherwise great hotel. The meal at the hotel was also great. Other poor Tripadvisor reviews for the restaurant were not our experience.

We wanted somewhere close to La Fournaise to visit the erupting volcano at night. This was a very good choice - the rooms were warm and large, the bed comfortable, the bath had a shower but no curtain or screen (very odd), the breakfast was good and the views of Piton des Neiges outstanding. This does what it says on...

During our 2-night-stay, there were positive and negative aspects. I start with the positive aspects. First of all, staff is friendly, helpful and very well trained. You would not notice that the hotel has only got 2 stars neither with regards to the waiters/waitresses nor regarding the quality of the food-both our dinners were good. Breakfast is basic, but ok...

No frills establishment, it is what is says on the can, a two-star hotel. This was everything you'd expect under the label 'fine'. Rooms were spacious, a tad spartan, but fine and all clean. Dinner in the restaurant was good - we'd been booked on a half board basis, so it would have been nice to have had a little...

old, cold and not-so-charming. This is an old hotel on the way out of town (and "on the way out" figuratively) Rooms are large, dark and creaky, and open out onto the gardens. You hope that the timber floor will not give way. The furnishings are also old, dark and creaky. It's set on a large parcel of land beside...

The other reviewers have said most of what can be said. Our bedroom opened onto the lawn at the back of the hotel and I defy anyone to find a better view! Sure the hotel is rather dark and the furniture is a bit old but this is part of the charm of the place. The price we paid for...

I really enjoyed my 3 nights in this hotel in October. The friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism of Sébastien and all his team were second to none. Beautiful view from dining-room and bedroom. Just for a change, on the 3rd evening I dined at the nearby ferme auberge but had no negative criticism of the food on offer at Les Géraniums....
