We have been to the Inn five times over the past ten years, however this stay was disappointing. The food served in the bar area was best descibed as average pub grub but expensive - lots of food left untouched on diners plates especially the chips(not fresh potatoes...the reheated frozen variety). The lounge areas were cluuttered and untidy and full...

We thoroughly enjoyed our haggis, neeps and tatties at this Inn. Staff were very pleasant and although busy our meal was served quickly. Note there is an extra charge of £1.95 for gravy! On menu in small print.

Popped in here by chance. Perfectly located on the road to Kyle of Lochalsh and the Skye bridge. A good ranging and fairly simple menu served by friendly and helpful staff. The food was fresh and homemade, very enjoyable! Also worth visiting just to look at (and drool over) an amazing selection of fine single malts.... one of the best...

First one was obviously a bit close to the bone and removed...I'll keep this one simple. This place is awful. It trades on it's captive audience. I would imagine that the owners know that the majority of its custom is one-off and that there's little chance people will reappear so they have little regard for what they're doing. The food...

Well appointed hotel, with quick service and excellent food, surrounded by mountains, in an isolated Highland setting. The staff are friendly and helpful. The venison casserole is tender and tasty, as is the steak pie, both served with vegetables and potatoes. The cranachan was the best I have ever tasted, with plenty of raspberries, cream and oatmeal with hint of...

We stayed here during a hiking holiday in the Kintail / Glen Affric area. This was a lovely family run hotel, that feels both homely and professionally run. It has recently been extensively refurbished (some of this work is ongoing, but does not interfere with stay) to a very good standard. The bar area is homely and traditional, whilst the...

The bacon and egg baguette was quite good but VERY expensive. The person who appeared to be the manager or owner wasn't very welcoming but the two other young guys in the bar were fine. A great location but I don't think we will be stopping there again. General impression was cold and unfriendly.

We visited the Cluanie Inn on the way to Skye looking for a lunchtime snack. The inn is in a beautiful location which at the time there was snow in the mountains. There is plenty of parking available. We ate in the bar which was both traditional, charming but also modern too. Quite a contradiction! The service was very good...

For some it's haggis, for others, a single malt. For my friend Marjorie it's men in kilts. But for me, a trip to Scotland is incomplete without a scone, if not in Scone itself, then by a loch. Or lochan. Imagine my disappointment then, when what arrived with my perfectly decent, if small and pricey, cup of coffee was something...
