My wife and I stayed with my parents at Beachgate the night before our wedding at Dunnotar Castle in 2012, and it was fantastic. Allen was a gracious host and his mother I believe cooked a great made to order breakfast for us and our parents. Will be coming back for another visit soon. Was located right on the beach...

This really was 5 star accommodation, beautifully appointed with close attention to every detail. The interior design was in perfect taste and the breakfast menu was the most varied that we had come across. Everything was beautifully done, even to the traditional Scottish porridge and home-made raspberry jam. To top it all, the sun shone and we had a lovely...

we chose Beachgate after looking at all on offer. Were in Stonehaven for a wedding and talking to other friends and guests I think we had the gold star of guest houses. Nothing was too much trouble. breakfast superb, rooms fantastic. And the views great. And the best nights sleep away from home.

From the moment we parked our car I knew Beachgate was going to deliver a wonderful Scottish experience and it certainly did. My husband and I had been on the road for the last couple of weeks touring Scotland and staying in B&Bs along the way. This was by far our best experience. The location was excellent, the facilities amazing...

First time staying at Beachgate, and definitely go back. The house is stunning and can't believe it's only a 4 star, definitely deserves 6! Alan and his mum were lovely people and made us feel very welcome and at home. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, as was the whole house. The sea view is amazing and last but...

Had a wonderful one night stay here in Stonehaven. Our room was immaculate and you could not possibly be closer to the beach. The owners prepared the best breakfast we had during our two weeks in Scotland with hen, duck, or goose eggs they raise themselves and some wonderful smoked salmon. We really didn't need to leave our room to...

We had a beautiful room with a gorgeous view overlooking the North Sea. The interior decorating of the bedroom was amazing with many extra welcoming touches and a modern and immaculate bathroom. Our hosts were welcoming and provided us with an excellent breakfast. The B&B is perfectly located in a beautiful part of the beach area.

I stayed here for one night. Friendly place, good location beside the shops, pubs, centre of town and great paths nearby for a walk, parking available. Good size rooms and a nice breakfast. I can recommend this guesthouse.
