What a fantastic experience! I can only recommend this trip, as we had 4 absolutely fantastic days at the Amazon Village Lodge. After being picked up in Manaus we had a boats tour across the Amazonas with the last part being done by canoe. You feel like civilisation is thousands of miles away. We stayed here for 3 nights in August. The boat journey from Manaus was fascinating and the meeting of the waters quite extraordinary! Our local guide, Rudolfo, was very knowledgable and passionate about the Amazon. The rustic lodges were just that. Comfortable enough, but not luxurious. Ours was a four day stay at the lodge which was an experience I do not regret but that I would be in no hurry to repeat. The activities offered by the lodge during our stay included a hike through the rainforest, cayman spotting, visits to local villages to learn of the current local way of life and piranha fishing....

We were pleasantly surprised by everything on this trip, it all took our breath away. The ferry trip was great, we saw the meeting of the waters and pink dolphins.
