The hotel is what you expect when you book a hotel at the country side in Germany. And I mean it in the best possible way! It is clean, comfortable, the staff is friendly and the restaurant is providing you with fresh and very tasty local dishes. OK, the rooms are not the biggest and you will have to climb a lot of stairs to get from the parking to the hotel entrance but other than this you will find hardly anything you can complain about it.

Second time visiting the hotel staff very polite, quite place, rooms cleand warm and big enough breakfast is nice like to be at home value for money is perfect I didnt have the time to visit sauna but soon I will I will visit again soon

A place we certainly will return to! Our room was very stylish refurbished, spacious and a fantastic bathroom (big shower, separate bath tub and the toilet separated from the rest. On top of that a nice terrace and a direct exit into the garden: it felt like being in an apartment. We had dinner in the evening, schnitzel and cordon bleu, which were cooked as it should be: fried in a pan (and NOT deep fried, as it often is these days). Great atmosphere, qualified and friendly staff, and many 'locals' that were having their Saturday dinner here. The breakfast was with fresh fruits, a wide selection of hams and cheeses, bio-products and served in the restaurant with stunning views. Warmly recommended and for sure for us to return to

We stayed at the Hotel Gottinger earlier this summer (during the town's annual funfair). We had a spacious room with a terrace (room number 16) which was very quiet and recently renovated. The bathroom was larger than many bathrooms in Germany and had modern fixtures, a walk-in shower and was very clean. The mattresses were super comfy. The food was excellent - the breakfast buffet had everything from cold cuts to soft bold eggs, home made jams and fresh bread. The wait staff is extremely friendly and remembered our choice of coffee/tee in the mornings. Although it was summer, we also used their in-house spa which has different saunas and a fabulous view of the surrounding mountains in the lounge area. We told the front desk that we wanted to use the sauna and were asked to wait for 30 minutes until it was heated up. Overall, the hotel is a real gem in the nice town of Waldkirchen and well run by a team of two sisters. Would stay there again.…

Top top top ! I was very positively surprised by folks wearing their hearts on their sleeves. Great room (got a free upgrade to premium). Great Service/price relation, good and cheap food, great view. Too bad it was only one night afterall :)

Situated close to Passau and other places worth visiting. Nice warm people that run the hotel. Typical German hotel. Oak furniture. Food is very tasty and breakfast is plentyful. Be sure to reserve a table in the winetun outside for dining!

The hotel located on a small hill. The village is... a wonder of nature, quiet, a place to find peace of mind..,And the hotel seems like the fairy-tale houses...Kind and welcome people greet you.. You should cycle in the huge natural park in front of the hotel. And eat a fresh smoked trout near the river...
