Good hostel with really friendly atmosphere, clean rooms and hot shower. No wi-fi. You will be provided with free tourist map of Colca Canyon and some advises. As we realized after our stay there they can book the room for you in Sangalle or Llahuar for better price then on the internet or on the place. Good place to stay,...

Very friendly and helpfull staff (Manou is top!) with a lot of information about the Colca Canyon and how to do trekkings without a guide. The rooms are clean and in their restaurant they serve great dinner (Milko is the best pizza chef!) and breakfast. Most of the staff speak several languages so that's convenient for every visitor.

Pros: Easy to arrange booking over email and pay deposit by PayPal. Great restaurant - breakfast included is large (pancakes, eggs, bread, jam). Dinner selection large, especially wood fired pizzas Best trekking map in region (compared to other maps it was the most accurate) Friendly staff but occasionally come across as a little disorganised. Look after bags when hiking in...

If you are interested in hiking the Colca Canyon for a few days, start your trek here. The staff are knowledgeable about the area, speak several languages very well and they will give you a map of the trails. For being in the middle of nowhere, things are done well. That said, the hostel admin is a bit disorganized, the...

Friendly people and there was a covered place to hang wet bathing suits. Nice rooftop terrace with a view of the mountains. Breakfast (included) had crepes but needed to pay extra for brewed coffee. Very clean communal shower.

I booked a round trip tour bus and a night at the hostel with Ludwig. When it came time to get picked up very early in Arequipa I got stood up by the tour bus. However Ludwig emailed me not two hours later at six in the morning and helped me figure out an alternate local bus out to the...

Service and atmosphere lifted Pachamama above the average. Beds, room, bathroom etc was OK but the place had a great atmosphere down in the restaurant with the pizza oven. Staff were also very helpful in that one of them met us at the bus and showed us back to the hostal and got us settled in. He also gave us...
