Thank you Malealea lodge for providing us with the best stay. Immediately upon arriving, we were met with friendly staff who welcomed us with information about Lesotho and the adventures we could take part in. The food was delicious, our room was cultural and homey, and we always felt safe. The atmosphere of the whole place was what made our...

Awesome place! It was my third visit in 12 months and it didn't disappoint. The food, as always, makes you feel like you never left home...delicious home cooked meals by the very friendly and efficient staff. Our first visit, my husband couldn't sleep because the bed was too small and I think he got bitten by something so he spent...

You want somewhere seriously off the beaten track ? This place is it. Don't expect fine dining, manicured lawns, liveried waiters. Expect warmth, kindred spirits, ADVENTURE ! And after a great day on horseback, saddleback or on foot, a very decent meal in fine company amongst friends who were strangers only yesterday.

We camped for 5 nights at Malealea in December 2016 and found the lodge to be more geared to overseas backpackers. The ablutions could do with a little TLC. The guides on horses seem quite experienced

It is a corner of paradise far away from traffic jam and cars. The lodge itself worth the visit in a sunny day and pays back those 7/8 km of gravel road necessary to reach it. It is possible to go walking with the guides to the mountains or the village; the choir and local band delight visitors every afternoon;...
