We’ve been in this hotel for 5 days. Breakfast was a bit monotheistic- everyday croissant with cream/chocolate/jam, coffee, tee, yogurt and juice. Nothing special, but I would prefer salty breakfast, really. Rooms were clean, everyday changed towels and cleaned room. The staff at reception desk very friendly, Karolina and not only her. Staff speaks polish, English, Italian and I believe a few more languages. Near to hotel (10-15 mins on foot) there is free beach “Il Curvone” or “Hakuna matata”. Maybe next time I will come back to this place as well if the price/quality will be still on the same level.
Superb location, very friendly reception staff, nice breakfast, very comfortable beds and the sea view rooms are beautiful!!! Overall a great value for money!!! Perhaps in need of a little renovation tho!!! Very recommended!!!
My room was very big for a single one, maybe it is the biggest single in Italy I stayed in. One part of the hotel looks at the sea-side (I guess, the view is amazing), but I chose the other side with tipical italian yards, so that I had good sleep at nignt. Unfortunatelly there was no safebox in the room, so I had to leave my passports at the reception. The stuff put them into an envelope and I took the passports back before the check-out. I can't say that was a problem, but a little bit strange. There is no air condition, only the central ventilation system. The shuttle service to the Fiumicino airport costed 15 euros. If you want to go to Rome, you can take a train: the railway station is about 5 minute walk from the hotel, trains go to Rome every 15 minutes. After half an hour trip you are at the Piramide metro station. Near the holet in a walking area you can find a lot of very nice italian restaurants. There is also a big supermarket at the railway station (it works every day).…
Good location. Access to buses and trains, restaurants, shopping, the beach, etc... Clean rooms, nothing fancy but all that you would need. Great front desk service, continental breakfast, staff was happy to answer any questions and/or concerns. Would gladly return!
The Hotel Ping Pong is in a good location if you want to be in Ostia and sea view rooms are available. However the room we had is in need of renovation, the shower was tiny, the bathroom itself very small, and the floor tiles in the bedroom cracked. The staff are fine, no problems there, but in all honesty this hotel is not up to scratch, especially for the price. We paid 749 Euros for 7 nights, including local taxes and breakfasts and I would expect something better for that price. If you are visiting Rome then I would suggest finding a more central hotel and one of better quality. Ostia itself is OK, with some very good restaurants and wine bars but the beach is disappointing if you want to swim. It is mostly made up of private beach areas but the non paying public have the right to walk all along the beach and to access the water. The sea is very shallow - almost too shallow too swim, and with lots of rocks which can be a bit painful if you collide with them.…
