at chachapoyas,. you don't find too many good hotels. This is one of them. Very comfortable, spacious rooms. All clean, a very nice central plaza in the middle of the rooms. They could improved their breakfast.

I am the person who first posted re this hotel. I stopped by early this month because I had wanted to stay here but my travel agent wasn't able to get a reply from them. There is now a new email, informes@casonamonsante.com but the same phone number (too bad the agent just didn't pick up the phone). The upper level...

We stayed one night in what will be a great place! Very clean and the room was not yet finished. There were no lights for example on the bed tables and in the area for bags and clothes. Bed was very comfortable! Nice courtyard and room was in the back, thus quiet. Staff were very nice. Breakfast was good. The...

This place is a gem in Chachapoyas (which is itself also a gem--if you're considering a visit, go!). I came upon the hotel without a reservation and ended up staying for two nights. The property itself is lovely, the room was well-appointed, modern, and clean, breakfast was delicious, and I cannot say enough about the service. After checking out, I...

We stayed three nights at Casona Monsante in January 2016. It is an old style hotel built around a garden courtyard off the Amazonas pedestrian mall in Chachapoyas. The room was very large and airy with a big bathroom, a large wood framed window with fresh cut flowers. The room was spotless and the beds were comfortable. There was ample...

We were not planning on staying in Chachapoyas for more than a couple of days, but after staying in this hotel (I am not sure why they call it a hostal when it is clearly a hotel), we decided to prolonge our stay. This hotel was recently bought in December, 2015 by a business woman who is renovating and upgrading...

We found this hotel in both of our guides. It said something about nice orchis in the middle of the hotel. They were there but not really taken care of. Just some pots with some green in it. Rooms were very big but had hardly any decoration. It was quite uncomfortable. Breakfast was the usual peruvian breakfast: Nescafé, bread, butter...

We came here without a reservation after finding no luck at Casa Vieja (which was bustling with people and completely booked). Upon arriving at the Casona Monsante, the courtyard was quite dark, and it didn't appear that anyone else was staying here. However, we gave it a try anyhow, and were pleasantly surprised. The room was one of the most...

Spent six (6) nights here in September 2012. Initially booked into another hotel, which was a disaster. Asked an agency on the Plaza for suggestions, and at Casona Monsante got a great walk in rate (50 soles for a first floor room without breakfast). The room I had was enormous, high ceiling, with two beds, table and chai, a window...
