Went for Sunday lunch, we had booked a table before hand but was seated right next to the carvery so had many people brushing pass us with their full plates. Had to queue for about 20 minutes to get food. The meal itself was very nice especially the roast parsnips and the beef was extremely tender.

Very peaceful location while being surrounded by a housing estate! Room basic, with furniture missing knobs off it. Beds a bit uncomfortable too but adequate. Could do with an update and better cleaning as in between bed was someone's toenails! Yuk! Building was beautiful, very old with extremely creaky floors. Didn't have breakfast but it's a continental unless you pay...

We stayed in the mobile home, dated but all we needed really. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed for a two day and night stay. On the first night we had a meal in the bar which was both tasty and well presented. I would use this place again as a stop off. One thing I...

I've stayed here many times now and had most of the rooms. It's quiet, rooms are spacious and well appointed although being an old building the floor boards do makes lots of sound when you walk them. Breakfasts are Ok and if you like full English it's worth the extra you have to pay.

Lovely stay, facilities more than adequate and peaceful location compared to the hustle and bustle of the nearby Premier Inn Just one slight niggle...it would be beneficial at check in for clarity around breakfast arrangements. Confirmation is required for morning breakfast choices which wasn't mentioned as there is a charge for a full English. This is the third time I...

The building the rooms are in is a lovely converted old barn. However the walls are paper thin so it was difficult to sleep when neighbouring rooms had TV's on. Room was OK but towels were very worn and a couple of the ones in my room had holes in. Continental breakfast was not great. Juice tasted artificial. The only...

It was not obvious how to get into the building. You have to go to the pub. The room was lovely but far too hot. Continental breakfast...I say continental because that's what they told me. A croissant does not make toast and cereal continental!! Not even a yoghurt. I was told there'd be fruit but all they had was banana....

Lovely room with beams and very spacious - we arrived late but were welcomed & shown to our cold room- it soon warmed up when we turned up the heating! on the downside a virtually empty bottle of hand wash was the only thing to wash with- for the price I would expect toiletries. Good idea to offer inclusive continental...

Two nights in a lovely room at a very reasonable price. The building was impressive, the bar and restaurant next door very handy, and all the staff very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely use again.
