This traditional-style, pretty little restaurant turned out to be a very pleasant surprise when we asked about vegetarian options. The cook came out of the kitchen to explain that she cooked different meals to order every day according to what fresh ingredients were available, and reeled off about a dozen off-menu choices. My daughter's veg curry was tasty and I...

We stayed in the very comfortable two bedroom apartment at The Willow. It was close to the main street with very nicely appointed rooms. We had our own lounge, kitchen and bathroom too. The welcome was very friendly and there was a great yorkshire breakfast!

Right in the middle of Town in a little side entry which made it very quiet. Parking behind in a free car park with access direct to the back. Steep stairs so not good for anyone with problems. However, spacious and comfortable accommodation. Super food, freshly cooked, both at Breakfast and evening meal. Staff went out of their way to...

Me and my husband went there twice and on both occasions we had an nice meal. It's a warm and welcoming place. The menu is not so large but what is served, is very good and honest food. Here you find dishes that are not served everywhere. Special combinations that work very well!

Last minute visited for two nights. A warm and helpful welcome, a lovely double room, with a huge bed, little extras like the chocolates and filter coffee! Just makes it that little bit extra special. The linen smelt wonderfully fresh. Perfect position to the high street, loads of info provided in the room and the bar area....Food was very good,...

The Willows is perfectly located for exploring North Yorkshire. We stayed in the two bed apartment which was beautiful. It was quaint , clean with everything you could possibly need. The owner was very helpful with places to go and things to see that might not be in your guide book. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had...

We called in for lunch. Waited nearly an hour for our mains. It was a quiet Wednesday lunchtime. My Steak pie & meal was covered in gravy - made everything soggy. My Husband had Pork - wasn't bad, a good size portion. He'd nearly eaten it all before the requested apple sauce arrived. The decor is tired & dusty. We...

The people that I was staying with took me to this place for a Sunday lunch meal. The decor is very typical of the area..--certainly nothing pretentious. It reminded me of my grandmother's house. The wine selection is limited but that was alright. I ordered roast beef with Yorkshire pudding which was a childhood delight. When the food arrived it...
