it was the fist time for us to visit Ami hotel in Petrovac and we had planned to spend the New Years Eve and the day after there. we were two couples with 2 children each. the New Years Eve was organized as a buffet, while for the kids they had arranged a separate buffet with animators in a separate place inside the hotel. the animators were Ok, but the food for the kids was terrible; chips, some dried burgers that were impossible to chew. the adults buffet was organized in -1 floor, also this was of poor quality and quantity the place was so small that you could barely pass through and the cherry on top we could not sit with our children in the same table with our children because there were not enough chairs and when we asked for it we received a very harsh answer by the manager Bosko.…
My partner and I recently stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks. We are in our fifties and have travelled quite a lot and stayed in many hotels, both good and not so good. The Ami Hotel was a hotel we will always remember as outstanding and we had a great time there. All the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent with a large choice. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a sea view and was nice and quiet, so no issues sleeping. The bathroom had an excellent power shower. There are two swimming pools, both indoor and outdoor and a terrace for sunbathing. If you prefer the beach, the hotel provides a private beach and staff will drive you there in a buggy and also bring guests back. However, it is only a short walk if guests prefer walking. This hotel also has a beauty salon and hairdressers, steam rooms and a sauna. I had my hair done whilst there and the hairdresser did a lovely job despite the fact that we could not speak each other's language. We would love to stay again and plan to do so at some point, hopefully, next year. Beautiful hotel. We have nothing bad to say about it.…
Stayed here for 1 week and don’t have anything negative to say besides that you can’t buy food or drink from the shop and bring it to you room because it is not allowed…. but the minibar water is too expensive. The breakfast and dinner is very good and there was always something new to try for dinner. Good hotel to enjoy your stay in Montenegro.
We had booked a room with a mountain view, because there were no more ocean view rooms at Voyage Prive, however, when we arrived at the hotel we asked if they had ocean view rooms available, to which we were told yes, so we paid the supplement and were assigned the room. When we arrived at the room it had two separate single beds, information that the receptionist never shared with us. We requested that if it was not possible to have a double bed we wanted our initial room with mountain view and we were told that this was already rented and that the only solution was to join the beds of the room with ocean view. We did not agree with this, so we asked the receptionist who was laughing at us to speak to the manager. He said that there was no solution, that the only thing they could do was to reimburse us the supplement (200 euros) and that the rest should be reimbursed by voyage privee and we would have to look for another room. At that point I asked to speak to another manager, who asked to show us another room with a mountain view that was available. The room was 101, the room they never rent, or the one they rent the least because the balcony is facing the street and in front of a construction site. So we did not accept it. After contacting voyage privee looking for a solution, one of the managers said he was going to show us another room, this time one with a small and dirty balcony that did not correspond to our reservation. They were looking for us to accept the worst rooms. Voyage prive contacted the hotel and after this they proposed us that the person who cleaned the rooms could come and convert the single beds in the room with sea view into a double bed, this was the best solution, I don't understand why they made such a big deal out of it. The next day we wanted to enjoy the beach, and we asked a hotel employee if they could take us to the beach because we did not know where it was, he told us that for the moment the beach was full and there were no chairs or umbrellas available. 10 minutes later he told us that if hqbq availability and we can go. When we arrived there were several chairs and umbrellas available, so we did not understand why we had been told that at the hotel. The beach is disorganized, dirty, there are no bins and the service from the staff is very bad. It does not look like a beach of a 5 star hotel, big disappointment, we only went once. The breakfast has a lot of variety, but every day is exactly the same and for a 7 night stay this becomes monotonous. Tip: they should do something different every day for guests staying for several days. For example, one day omelettes, another day savory or sweet crepes, smotthies, etc. The hotel staff never says hello. One time we were at the pool without our hotel towels because we had just arrived from a tour and they thought we were not staying at the hotel, 3 of the staff looked at us strangely at the pool, and one of them came up to ask us if we were staying or if we should leave the hotel. Unbelievable that they don't remember their clients. The passageways are not air conditioned. This is a 5 star hotel in Montenegro, but by world standards it is more like a 4 star hotel that needs to learn a lot in terms of service.…
We stayed in standart room from 27th of August untill 3rd of September and I have to say that hotel does not match 5* level. The building was built sloppily with poor quality finishings and at the moment everything is a bit worn. In our room the toilet paper holder was broken, light for the mirror above sink was not working, the trash can was rusty and stained. In women lockers near the pool there was no any shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, just one big empty plastic botlle. In breakfest coffee was what we missed most of all. There was not possible to have good coffee - coffee machine gave just some unpalatable liquid. Food at all was - how to say - featurless. It could be enough with nice lockal fruits, but unfortunately even plums, watermelones and melons were tasteless.
Just back from a seven night stay at the hotel with a friend. We used it as a base to explore Montengro. The hotel was utterly amazing, everything was pristine, the rooms great and very sound proof (I slept solidly every night). The pools and spa facilities were brilliant and the breakfasts amazing - literally every nationality catered for. The staff were so lovely and attentive nothing was too much trouble. We visited Budva, Kotor and Lake Skadar and the team on Reception were great at answering any questions. Highly recommend.
It is the only 5* hotel in the cosy village of Petrovac, far from the crowded Budva. We had a standard room which was a bit tiny and not always with a good smell, but the room was ok and modern, and with a lateral view od the sea and mountain, we spent 7 nights on a B/B basis and the hotel was quite full with a lot of families and kids, breakfast was ok and there was a lot of things to eat if you are hungry from the morning. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the private beach, that is its spacious and nicer than other beaches, they give you free towels, sunbeds and wifi on the beach and you can charge every extra on the room, the hotel has also a nice outdoor pool, but there are very few sunbeds for guests and it is close to the main street with many buses passing by. Spa was fine, we had a couple massage, they were quite professional, we also tried the small but functional gym. All the staff was always smiling and very helpful and fluent in English. Housekeeping was often a bit late (in the afternoon) but after we told them they started doing the room in the morning, It would be better with a few more elevators, at peak hours it was quite difficult to catch one. The hotel has also a private parking with valet service. Price compared to service was fair enough.…
We had a week at this fantastic hotel. The building, facilities and location were extremely good. All the staff were very friendly, went out of their way to help in any way they could. The only disappointment was the breakfasts. There was a lot to choose from but a lot of it was possibly not to western European tastes. The fresh fruit and yogurt were fine as were the omlets but little else. The worst part was the coffee. There are two very impressive machine that dispense whatever you wish to drink as long as it come in powdered form. No fresh coffee as is the norm everywhere else we travel. when we mentioned this we were told that they were looking into it but I understand that this has been the situation for quite some time. We would go again if we were to visit Montenegro but in the hope that they had sorted out the above issues.…
we came to the hotel on 17.06. there were two sachets of coffee and four teas in the coffee corner. no one completed it for 9 days. after these 8 days I bought 10 nescafe sachets and 5 nescafe frappe sachets for my wife. On June 26, 4 teabags and two nescafe teabags appeared again, but the ones I bought were lost. Someone stole them from me. Shower gels and shampoo were not replenished within 10 days. The glasses, mugs and wine glass were unwashed, lips imprinted on the wine glass of perhaps the cleaning lady or perhaps the previous tourist from this room. 3 times after returning to the room the toilet paper was not refilled. the first time I bought it myself, but the next two times I reported it to the reception. The paper was refilled quickly. This is the first time I have stayed in a 5-star hotel where I have to stand up for things that are normal in other 5-star hotels. I will not be nice to mention the hotel cleaning gentlemen, unless this hotel has such a standard, so I will not recommend it to anyone and I will not fail to give the right opinion. I have no comments whatsoever about the staff in the reception, kitchen and dining room. They are helpful and very polite. Is the cleaning lady in charge of this hotel ?. In the description of the hotel offer there is a fridge but you cannot use it because it is only for a mini bar, so why is it included in the offer? Nobody at the hotel knows that.…
We usually try and stay at good hotels, if we can afford 5 stars we will pay the extra money, but not all 5 star hotels are really fit to have that title...this is a huge exception. AMI hotel is a truly 5 star hotel and it's easy to see and feel it, from the feception staff to the facilities and beyond. We had a very clean and spacious room and all we needed for a good relaxing time was provided. Superb parking facilities and 5 minutes walk from the beach. We will be there again, guaranteed! A special mention for lovely Tijana for her efforts to make us feel welcome, thank you.
