My wife and I are relatively new to naturism, but we have been long-time campers and thought we'd try vacationing this summer to a naturist resort where we could enjoy the best of both worlds. We Googled a number of resorts within a reasonable driving distance from home and found Bare Oaks offered just what we were looking for. What...

Thank you on behalf of the team that works so hard to make Bare Oaks a delightful experience for our guests! It is always nice to hear that we provide a good first experience. Because for us, naturism isn't just a great vacation option; it is a life philosophy that can make people healthier.

We've been trying to get to Bare Oaks for several years and finally made it. We were impressed with the grounds and the attention to landscaping. The people here are friendly...just like naturists everywhere. As others have mentioned there is a focus on naturism here not just getting naked. We'll definitely return if only for a day visit.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with others and for your kind, supportive words. I'm glad to hear that after trying to get here for years, we did not disappoint! I sometimes worry that our reputation might create unrealistic expectations. So it is very satisfying to hear that you had such a good visit.

This was our first visit to Bare Oaks but by no means our first to a naturist resort we have visited many including U.K. USA and Europe . The staff are friendly and very helpful and it was a good to see they practice what they preach and wore no clothes. We got a discount for being BN members in...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It is very flattering to hear we can be compared to naturist resorts in Europe! I agree that we can have more variety with the restaurant menu. We had a last minute change in the operator this year. He's just getting used to his new business and has some big...

My wife and I visited many naturist resorts, not only in Canada, but USA and Europe. Generally, naturist resorts are fun, relaxing and friendly places, and I can not say that we had bad experience in any of them. However, Bare Oaks is one of few that we visit regularly. There is something special about this place that we love...

This is probably the ONLY naturist park where you will find the owner/management living the naturist philosophy at work. Unlike most parks (all that I have been to), when you check in, the staff are generally wearing clothes.... NOT here. At Bare Oaks, they practice what they preach. I rate the property as "very good" only because of it's size....

This is, by far, the BEST nudist/naturist resort I've ever been to in all of Ontario! I stayed from July 11-18, 2014, pitched a tent and camped out near Jarvis Pond. Despite the mosquitoes, the whole experience was truly relaxing, unwinding and the amenities available are amazing! So much to do and see, very reasonable prices and you can even...

My wife and I attended for the first time, first time at a naturist resort. We walked in and were met with an extremely nice and helpful staff member who walked us through everything. We rented one of the resorts "cozy cabins" and well worth it. Bedding, coffee maker and mini fridge all included. The grounds are amazing, the washroom,...

Felt shy, scared, and a little embarrassed at first being total nude in a very public setting. What I observed and felt :, was comfortable, respect.friendliness, liberated and empowed. I had a great time & got sunburned in places I never had before lol.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park is a year-round naturist park near Toronto in Canada where the entire family can experience traditional naturist values in a modern setting. We are nestled among the natural wilderness of the Ontario Greenbelt and Oak Ridges Moraine. Our varied landscape includes open spaces, forests, ponds, streams and a small lake. We also have many recreational facilities. Our clubhouse provides year-round amenities including saunas and a whirlpool. Bare Oaks offers day-use memberships and seasonal campsites but also welcomes visitors and travellers. Some might use the terms nudist and nudism to describe us and what we do. But we prefer naturist and naturism because our creed is so much more than just taking your clothes off. It is a life philosophy with physical, psychological, environmental, social and moral benefits. We go beyond a mere recreational pursuit and promote ethical naturism. We endeavour to live a naturist life and nudity is key to body acceptance and an integral part of our naturist philosophy. As such, we are not clothing-optional. Clothing is worn only for protection. We give visitors a chance to adjust but everyone is expected make a decision as to whether they want to be naturists or not.Located between Toronto and the gateway to Ontario's cottage country, it is the perfect location to stay while visiting Toronto. A short drive south on Highway #404 gets you into Toronto in about 30 minutes. ... more   less
