Scores high on location. quite rural and a lovely location in the village of Edale. in summer, it would just be fantastic to sit out in the lawn outside and absorb the beauty of nature and tranquil environment Service -> not impressed. few reviews have been saying 'lovely staff, very welcoming' etc., but didn't feel the same. They were OK...

Wonderful place, lovely rooms, comfy bed, bath, good food & drink etc. It's the perfect location for some amazing walks too. The walk to Casteton & along the ridge from Mam Tor to Losehead, and also the walks to Kinder were fantastic.

Very comfortable, clean accommodation in a beautiful location. Well run pub with real fires, which were welcome at the end of a long day's walking. Good breakfast. The evening pub food was just ok, disappointing compared with previous visits when it seemed much fresher, home cooked and tasty.

Stayed here with a mate and booked in prior to getting a train to Sheffield. Really friendly place both staff and customers. Beer and food fantastic and stayed in a great twin room that had everything we needed. Recommend it to all!

The Rambler Inn is in a good location for walking in Edale, it's also located close to the railway station. The room we had was a good size, double aspect. It had a comfortable bed and the bathroom in good condition, clean as well. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Evening was pub grub as expected,...

Wonderful traditional old inn but with all mod cons. Free wifi, flat screen TV, and fantastic full English breakfast. Had sausage and mash for dinner - very substantial, meaty sausages, mash potatoes, and onion gravy. Great views of the hills from every window. Seating area with extensive gardens. Literally a 2 minute walk fro the train station. Very friendly staff...

Normally reasonable food but on this occasion, the mam tor burger was 2 greasy low quality pate's. The vegetable Wellington was nothing more than some averagely cooked cubed vegetables with a piece of 2" square pastry on top. Not a 'wellington' at all. Not recommended.

My wife and I visited The Rambler Inn on 7th December with our 2 month old baby for a birthday lunch for me. Was very quiet being a weekday afternoon, the log fire was warm and the reception and service were the same. We had mains which were absolutely delicious, pub food done right! It's such a genuine country gem...

Popping in after a long and cold walk in the hills, this pub is ideal. Dogs are welcome. A family with young children enjoyed hot chocolate. We didn't eat, but the menu looked inviting. Plenty of outdoor tables, but it was far too cold!
