Visited and the toilets and showers were caked in mud, excrement, sanitary towels and mould. Only to be told the owner personally cleans the facilities himself! Environmental Health need to visit. Staff extremely abrupt and rude, place overpriced. The park facilities are a health hazard for children and we saw one girl cut her hand on the swings. The bar...

Please note, This review does not refer to Greenhills Holiday Park in Bakewell, Derbyshire. The bar at Greenhills was not open at this time. It was closed for low season and re opens on 31st March 2017. Greenhills Holiday Park toilets and showers are not cleaned by an owner. They are cleaned by an outside professional company. There has been...

This site didn't live up to our expectations. It's good points were lovely hot showers, clean grounds set in a quiet country location. Thirty mins walk to Bakewell. Great for dog owners with a separate exercise paddock and plenty of dog poo bins. However the bad points were the shop and bar were closed all weekend. There was building work...

Redevelopment works, to meet demand, had unfortunately been delayed due to the wet winter closure months, but are now complete. Please note that it clearly states on the website that the bar and shop are closed during low season and reopen on 31st March 2017. It also states on the website that departure is 12 noon, giving an hour to...

Had a weekend here and was sad to see the shop and bar were closed for the season. Couldn't find any mention of this on the web site and the pitch fees were the same. MUD was horrendous, you expect it a bit at this time of year but even the tarmac road to the showers was covered. Probably not...

Thank you for your response. Please refer to the front page of the website where it states that the bar and shop are closed low season and reopen on 31st March 2017. Pitch fees are low and high season. Unfortunately redevelopment works had been delayed due to wet weather and snow during the winter closure months. Work is now complete....

Lovely week camping with the family. Quiet location, great facilities, good to grab a pint at the little bar. Very tranquil. Great scenery. Recommended by a friend and will defiantly return. Such a lovely find.

Stayed here for three nights as a couple. Approx 30 minutes stroll into the centre of Bakewell so nicely positioned without the hustle and bustle if you prefer it quieter. The site itself was a bit muddy (couldn't be helped with rain!) but the gravel hardstanding pitches were fine for positioning the caravan on (thanks to fellow caravanners who helped!)....

Very Poor Site, well actually a building site. Woken up at 7.30am by diggers & lorries. Mud everywhere. Never actually saw any staff on site if there was a problem. toilets and showers clean although stinks of sewage permanently!!!! Shop not open or bar or any amenities. I appreciate its not high season but they should have informed us at...

Thank you for your response It states on the front page of our website that the bar and shop are closed for low season and reopen 31st March 2017. This is a lovely little caravan site so much so we have decided to site our van for the year. Staff are extremely helpful. There is a lovely little pub on site and the bathroom facilities are very clean.

Just returned after spending 3 nights here with my family. It is a very nice site with clean albeit a bit dated facilities. It was very busy with a lot of children playing on their bikes etc (half term), a lot of the kids played near the pub/shop/toilet area and unfortunately our caravan was very close to this area so...

First impressions very good. Very friendly helpful staff. Wonderful quiet site just a stone's throw away from Bakewell and only 45 minutes from home. Facilities nice and clean although could perhaps do with a bit of an update. Good selection of drinks available in the bar. And very friendly caravaners to talk to

Just returned from a two night stay at this well located site, only a 30 minute walk from Bakewell and close to the beautiful village of Ashford. The site is large but the pitches are small. The refuse/bin area is an eyesore and the toilet / showers are barely enough for the number of pitches. There is a good shop...
