Well placed property minutes from a Metro station which makes the Centre of Copenhagen reachable in 8 minutes or so. Pleasantly decorated rooms and a delicious breakfast buffet. A very natural choice for any family or couple visiting Copenhagen

We stayed at Scandic Falkoner as it is the nearest hotel to Frederiksberg Town Hall where we were getting married. We actually wanted to marry in Copenhagen Town Hall but due to availability we had to choose Frederiksberg instead. Upon reflection we are very glad we went to Frederiksberg! It is such a beautiful place and also quieter and calmer than its more famous neighbour. This hotel is literally next door to the Metro so going sightseeing in Copenhagen was so easy anyway!

When entering the hotel there is an immediate feeling that you're in an old cinema or art gallery. Perhaps this building had a previous life prior to its use as a hotel? Our stay was really amazing. I was curious how a buffet breakfast would be during a pandemic but it was handled so well. Foods are provided in small individual containers and you can take as many as you like! Gloves and hand sanitiser was everywhere too - I was impressed! The only negative I have is that the room was quite dusty, at times you could see the dust in the air.

If the management of the Scandic Falkoner read this I want to say that your receptionist Lasse was absolutely the best receptionist we have ever encountered when travelling. He was so friendly and accommodating when we had questions not only about the hotel but when we were asking about Denmark in general. He is an asset to your team!

Dear wdfan. Thank you very much for taking your time to share your experience with us and your fellow travellers. First of all I would like to congratulate you with your wedding. It sounds like you had an amazing day. I am very pleased to hear that you had an amazing stay with us, and that you feelt safe with how our breakfast was handled. It is important for us to make sure that all of our guests feel safe while staying with us while we still provide a good service and deliver a memorable product. However I am sorry to hear that the room was dusty, and this will be forwarded to our Housekeeping Manager, but I hope that you enjoyed your stay apart from this. I will pass on your commendation - we all try our best to give a unique and fantastic experience for everybody. I hope to see you at Scandic Falkoner again soon. Kind regards Cecilie Mønster Front Office Manager

First the positives:
• The location near the metro.
• The room was furnished with the essentials.
• Breakfast buffet with the usual side dishes now wow’s

Subjective points of failure:
• It is gloomy and dark in the hotel, whether in the lobby or in the corridors.
• No wardrobe in the room.

Customer is not king: we wanted to toast our son's defense of the master's course and therefore wanted to borrow a few champagne glasses. The receptionist answered that we should go buy them in the nearby Netto.

We book a hotel to have certain amenities, including having the room cleaned every day, otherwise we can also book AirBnB. Cleaning on request is a means to save on low-wage jobs.

Dear Cmfda Thank you for your feedback. We really appreciate it. I am very pleased to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast and the location of the hotel. That is great to hear. I am sorry that the color in the room, lobby and corridors was not in your liking. This is the theme and style in the hotel and it is a shame that you did not like it. I do not hope that you got the impression that you could not have your room cleaned. That is not true at all. We do have cleaning on request which means that you have to inform us if you want it and then you will for sure get it. You can get it all of the days or non of the days. It is completely up to you. I hope you will consider to visit us again in the future. Best regards Mie Olsen Ass. Front Office Manager

I'm staying at Scandic Falkoner for 24 days and this is my experience.
Good:
* Location is perfect for me
* My room from the 12th floor is basic but the view is great
* The gym is quite big and open 24h
* Nice breakfast

Bad:
* Room not clean upon arrival. Very much hair from previous guests on the mat.
* Very poor Wifi, I had to bring my own router with 4G to be able to work.

But the worst part is how the hotel tries to save money on the government restrictions. * Upon arrival I was told that due to the virus they clean the room every 5th day. Okey..sounds strange to me? I have stayed here for 19 nights now and have just got the room cleaned once. I asked the reception for a cleaning but only got new towels. This is ok for me, I don't need my room to be cleaned that much, but I find it annoying that they say it's due to the virus and not the obvious - save money.
* When the new government restriction started this week the hotel could no longer have people eating/drinking in public areas. Instead, you fill out a form and pick up your breakfast and bring it to your room. The crasy thing about this is that they have limited the choices for breakfast to more or less only a piece of bread, butter, cheese and eggs. The variety of their normal buffet in now limited down with 70-80%. I asked the reception about this and they were blaming on the government restrictions, which is totally not true.
What I mean is that the new restrictions that started in Denmark this week is tough for everybody, and for someone like me, staying here for more then 3 weeks, it's quite a drawback to find the gym, restaurant, bar etc closed. When a situation like this occurs, the hotel could choose to either try to level up on other platforms, maybe offer the guest something else, as a compensation or just as a friendly gesture. But instead they are leveling down on things they wouldn't have to, and then they blame the restrictions.
A smart hotel in this situation would say:
* "We're sorry that you have to eat your breakfast in the cramped room you stay in, but we have got fresh bread from the bakery next door and here's a fruit drink that's usually not on the menu"
* "We are sorry that the restaurant is closed, but instead we can easily bring take away from these restaurant, for free"
* "We are sorry that the gym is closed, but we hired a PA 2 times a week for an outdoor training session in the park nearby"

I was a happy guest during the first weeks but how the hotel has handled these new restrictions is just to bad.

Dear 770emilk Thank you for taking your time to review Scandic Falkoner and for staying with us for so long. We are pleased that you enjoy location, view, gym and breakfast. The industry is working hard on following the restrictions which are imposed on us, often with very short notice. However feedback is very essential to us – not least when we have to adjust to a new situation. We are always listening to any wishes from our guests, and a lot of the issues raised could have been solved whilst staying with us. This count for breakfast selection, cleaning etc. It is true that we have cut down on points of contact between guest and staff and most guests appreciate the fact that cleaning is on request. This way we can protect both guests and staff better. We hope that you will come back in the future and address the issues as they arise, so we get an opportunity to solve them in a timely manner. Sincerely, Malene Friis General Manager Scandic Falkoner

The hotel is new, rooms design is modern. Big panoramic windows. Upon check in the receptionist made a complimentary upgrade for my parents room so we could stay on the same floor. The breakfast is good and varied. The stuff is very professional and polite. The hotel is about 15 minutes on metro from the city center, metro is located just few minutes walking from the hotel. Around a lot of stores and cafes. Definitely recommended.

Located adjacent to a large conference center and very convenient to the Copenhagen metro. It's a straight shot from the airport to the hotel - no need for a taxi. The neighborhood is not particularly interesting, but seems safe. I stayed there for several days for an EMBO conference and then tourism.

The hotel is large; at the included nice breakfast there were many many guests filling almost all of the available seats, but the staff replenished supplies regularly and it flowed pretty well for being crowded.

The rooms were comfortable, clean and modern, and nicely decorated with the prevailing theatre theme. There wasn't much space to hang clothes. They have an odd eco/cost-cutting system where if you want your room cleaned and made up, you need to ask the day before. Otherwise, housekeeping will pass you by. The lobby has a nice bar to hang out with colleagues during the meetings. The food was high quality.

I generally prefer smaller hotels and less crowds so I gave it a 4.

Dear Davidslc Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate it. Our location is right next to the metro, so it is very easy to get to and from the airport directly with one line. We are glad to hear you had a good experience with our breakfast, and that our staff replenished supplies regularly. We do have more hangers available, so please step by the front desk next time so we can get you some more if needed. It is correct that becuase we are an eco friendly hotel, we do have the cleaning on request. We hope you overall had a fantastic stay with us, and that you enjoyed our hotel facilities. We hope to welcome you again another time, and we wish you a great day. Best Regards, Sofie, Front Office Shiftleader

The girl that attended us at the reception was not nice. We came a bit early to the hotel and asked if our room was ready. The girl said no. I asked if she could tell us as soon as the room was ready but she said she wouldn't do that and that we had to wait til 3pm. We were sitting in the lobby only a few meters away and from the reception desk they could clearly see us. At 14.15 more or less they started doing checkin to other people coming in. After about 15-20 minutes I went to reception and asked why we couldn't have our room if they were checking in other people. Another person and not the girl then checked if the room was ready and made the checkin. I would say that the girl was rude and not service minded at all. We could have had our room a bit earlier if she would've bothered to keep an eye on the status of the room. Clearly not a person I would like to have working if the hotel was mine. The rest of the stay was correct. Good breakfast and clean. The room was pretty small, i?ve had better rooms with this chain. Also the price was quite expensive, however we booked it a bit late so I'm not surprised.

We frequently stay at Scandic Falkoner. The location is perfect for visiting family in Frederiksberg. The hotel was renovated just a couple years ago, but the rooms are already starting to seem a little run down. The decor is very dark. Scandic recently introduced a scheme where you need to specifically request your room to be cleaned. That's ok I guess. What I didn't like was when we checked into our room last week, and it had not been cleaned. There was hair all over the floor, and it did not appear the bath had been cleaned. The reception did send housekeeping as soon as I told them. But it should have been cleaned properly in the first place.

We loved this hotel. We are a family of 3 with a toddler and the junior suite we booked was perfect, it had a dividing wall with a pocket door so our little girl had her own section at night. The buffet breakfast was extensive and delicious, served in a lovely light open-plan area. We had lunch there and it was really great, generous portions and good quality. We loved the modern decor of the hotel, very stylish and lovely big open-plan reception area with lots of comfortable seating. The location was perfect, a short walk to the underground which had connections to the airport and all the major parts of the city.

Let's start with the lobby: It is loud and the music is pretty annoying. Breakfast is okay at best and the coffee should be skipped by one from the 7-11 next door. The rooms have no closet and walls are of paper. Service of the rooms only on demand and sleep quality is abysmal. No fridge either. The worst is the bathroom: you have to close the door if you want to use the loo. No paper towels either. The shower has a small hole at the bottom that oozes water all the time and, as such, the floor is usually wet. This means strategic stepping around to ensure your feet do not touch that goop. Even worse, the water goes into a drain under the sink that smells of gutter. Service was pathetic: The elevator was broken all week, i.e., one elevator for all inhabitants and no, the stairs wont take you to the 5th floor so not even an option to walk. I sat at the bar for a beer and after 10 mins sans being served I left. No thanks, not going back.
