Avenue hotel was perfect from start to finish. Warm welcome from the receptionist, they had prepared our room for an early check-in as i had mentioned we would most likely arrive quite early due to our flight time- so helpful. The reception/lounge area is gorgeous as is the outdoor terrace- so cute! Daily wine hour between 5-6 was such a...

Booked here for a couple of nights and I must say for the price we paid I was very impressed. Chic art deco interiors, a modern open bar area with plush seating, free wine tasting between 5-6 (though we didn't get chance on either day to make it back for this), clean nicely decorated rooms, big comfy bed and a...

Our family (2 adults and 1 baby) stayed at the hotel for 1 night in January and had a very nice experience. The room was nice, clean and cozy. The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed their organic breakfast with several available vegan options: soy milk, müsli, oats, hummus, fresh fruit, smoothies, bread with peanut butter...

The hotel has a lovely lounge area and each day between 5pm - 6pm they hold wine hour offering free wine to hotel guests. The red wine was gorgeous. Great location around the corner from Forum train station and walking distance to the city centre. Stayed in a standard double room which was also really nice, bed was really comfy...

Stayed here for a long weekend in January, and had a brilliant stay. The hotel staff are incredibly helpful and informative, the location is ideal for getting to all the tourist spots on the metro line, and Christiania and the meatpacking district...but it's also great for just being able to walk out the hotel and find something. The room was...

Spent two nights here with my best friend and the room we got was so small that we had to upgrade, the double bed was more like a single bed and there was barely any room to move in the room. Switched to the superior double room (for a considerable up-charge) wich was a bit nicer but the bathroom was...

We arrived earlier than the check in time but had emailed the hotel in advance hoping a room would be available allowing us early access. Upon arrival we were told the room was being cleaned and would be available shortly and asked to take a seat in the bar. Our room was a twin, rather small, over looking the main...

We stayed for 3 nights during the month of January. Staff were helpful, breakfast was very good. There was a very big choice of cold buffet food included, but you had to pay extra for hot breakfast. The rooms were warm , clean and the bed was very comfortable. The rooms are quite dated, but adequate. Heated floor in the...

It's a great location - not right in the center of the city, but walking distance to everything. The rooms are tiny but cozy and the bed was extremely comfortable. I stayed here for 3 nights right after visiting Stockholm, and I could feel different atmosphere with former city. Frankly speaking, because of feelings from this hotel, memory in Copenhagen is cozy and romantic. Nice bycycle tour. Friendly and helpful staff. Most of all great wine they served.

Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Frederiksberg
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
