This place has everything ... except air conditioning... In every other respect it is awesome. Staff are friendly, food is beyond anything you even imagined of aspired to eat in Solomon Islands. The drinks menu is good and the price surprisingly reasonable. Gus and the team on island really try to please and they succeed. Thanks for a fantastic weekend...

I cannot speak highly enough of Tavanipupu. I had the most relaxing weekend of my life there. The scenery was breathtaking, I think it was the most naturally beautiful place I've ever seen. The royal bungalow was beautiful, spacious and incredibly comfortable. The food was fantastic, fresh and comes in large portions. The staff were very friendly and went out...

We were the first guests after big management decisions were made- to take the island back to the good old days. This was pretty wonderful. The old, brilliant chef was rehired, breakfasts in the front of the bungalow's were reinstated, the problematic a la carte menu was dropped in favor of daily meal packages. The food was absolutely first rate, the...

Stayed for 3 nights with my wife and two kids. At first impression it was exciting. Met off the boat (read below) by the staff, lay and coconut for all. The common buildings and ground are grand and picturesque. Our family villa is large, airy and roomy with comfortable beds, a large double bathroom with inside and outside showers and...

I had always questioned the need for the term ‘achingly beautiful’ and have never used it before now. After visiting Tavanipupu I now know it is at attempt to etch the images in front of you into your long-term memory and you actually strain your eyes and face in a way that helps to do this. We sought a family...

I spent two and a half days here with three small children, and three other adults. The weather was appalling, (it rained solidly for two days) but we all still managed to have a good time. Despite the rain, snorkelling was delightful, with clear water, lots of fish and coral. Our room were roomy, comfortable and clean. Bathrooms outstanding. But...

We had a fantastic weekend here, it is such a beautiful place and the staff are gorgeous. We were the only people in the resort, apparently another couple had booked in but the plane from Honiara left 40 minutes early and they missed it! I had a standard room the first night and my friends had a deluxe room. The...

Fantastic coral ringed island. Extremely comfortable bungalows on the water. Modern bathroom with both outside and inside showers. Mozzie screened and netted with little sign of mozzies though. Recently renovated with new owners. Excellent value as it provides a level of comfort a little above the rest. Snorkeling equipment, kayaks and bikes available to guests. It would even be a...

I was looking sooooo forward to a week at Tavanipupu. We arrived in Honiara and had no flight to the resort. After 2 days of phone calls, someone finally answered the phone and took a message for Wilson the manager. He finally arrived and made us flights for the wrong dates and they did not coincide with our outgoing flights...

We recently returned from a 5 night stay at Tavanipupu. The recent changes in management have been well documented in other reviews, and this means the website is inaccurate, but this doesn't detract from this beautiful place. The cottages are large and well furnished. The decor is a bit faded and tired, but clearly this isn't something that has just...

“All rooms were good. The room where the royals stayed was clearly the best on the point with its own private pier.”

“We would have happily taken any room in the property! We did get the chance to stay 4/5 nights in the royal bunglalow which gives you access to a private jetty so this is the main benefit here. The other bungalows were just as nice inside and we wouldn't hesitate to book one of those again. We understand they are currently adding a few more bungalows so I can't comment on these.”
