A very special place. You're made to feel part of the Aspinall family as soon as you arrive. The cabin was very spacious and the huge balcony overlooking the jungle and ocean gave lots of opportunity for watching the birds and monkeys. Within five minutes of arriving at our cabin, we had a welcome committe of 4 scarlet macaws and... More

If you are lucky enough to put Tiskita on your list of "must do's" in Costa Rica you will be rewarded. We spent 4 wonderful days there and hated to leave. The experience is so wonderful and your hosts(the owners Lizbeth,Peter and Claude) are so interested in you, that you begin to feel like family. There are 17 cabins nicely... More

This is a truly beautiful, relaxing resort. It was unlike anything our family has ever done before and was without question a wonderful memory for us as parents and our three young children! Our cabin was clean, comfortable, had amazing views and incredibly relaxing with sounds of the ocean all day and night. The food that was served in the... More

This was a spectacular bit of paradise. Lisbeth was our birding guide and in addition to great finds, she was a joy to be with. we loved the well prepared food ,healthy, beautifully presented. This is a family run place and very impressive display of flowering trees, orchards, and gracefully planted grounds that bring in all types of wild life

This was our first stop outside San Jose on a 10 day trip to Costa Rica. A family-run operation, Alanna, Peter, and Lisbeth were very welcoming and tailored their services to our needs. The food was as fresh as could be--especially the fruit and juices--and the lodge, rustic and situated in the middle of the lowland jungle, was as close... More

We spent the first week of January at Tiskita Lodge with our 2 grown sons. The week were there, we were well taken care of by Peter and his son Clyde. THey made sure that all our needs were taken care of. We went horseback riding up the mountain and down on the beach with a wonderful guide and beautiful... More

My husband and I spent 4 nights of our 10 day vacation to Costa Rica at Tiskita. This was definitely the "icing on the cake" on our 1st trip to Costa Rica. Getting to Tiskita was part of the adventure. We flew from San Jose on a small single prop plane to Puerto Jimenez then boarded a very small fishing... More

This was the best place we stayed in Costa Rica. The jungles were amazing and so many animals to see. Lisbeth made sure we saw a lot of them on our hikes. They are all so awesome there. When we sadly left, all we could think about was just going back. Not sure I'd go anywhere else in Costa Rica.... More
