A little outside the historic center of the city (1km) on the banks of the Mekong, between guest house and small hotel. Very nice home. Small room and large terrace with a view of the Mekong for breakfast or eating. The rooms are simple but large and pleasant, air conditioning, fridge, TV, mosquito nets on the windows. Large and clean bathroom. Very pleasant and helpful staff. The restaurant's menu offers dishes from 4 continents, but this is not the strong point. You will stay there for the setting, the welcome and the price: €25 per night without breakfast. I recommend Jean Pierre

The location alone is worth staying. Spent many hours sitting along the platform facing the river. If it gets too cold, the cafe is inviting with friendly staff and soft music. Talk to Tali, the manager. He is ever so cheerful and friendly. The food is excellent and I had the veg Thali breakfast every morning for my week stay there. The room was wonderful and the bed was comfortable. The sheets and pillows were clean. Fresh towel was given every day and drinking water was replenished. However, the kitchen rests on Sunday and one best make alternative plans. Overall, it was a wonderful and peaceful stay. Highly recommended.

This is more of a guesthouse than a grand hotel, but the spacious rooms are comfortable and very clean although a bit basic. The most important feature is its location right on the Mekong riverside, with magical views from its terrace of the sunset over Thailand across the river. It’s handy to “downtown” Savannakhet, right beside a large park. The staff and manager were friendly and helpful. On arrival, our room had a few small electrical issues, but those were resolved immediately by the owner. The restaurant was very good and seems to be a local favourite. The breakfast bagels were a highlight. The pizza was great. We had Deluxe King Room 1A looking out on the river — try to get it if you can.

I was given one of their best room apparently since I paid the highest price (20$). It was more or less clean, still got my face caught in a spider net. I opened the bathroom later when I came to sleep and the smell nearly made me vomit! It felt like no fresh air entered there in ages. A rotten smell that once I opened the room, spreader out everywhere. I asked the reception a solution they came with a good smell spray that covered the smell for a short period. But my night was terrible. I speaks my perfume directly under my nose several times not to smell that rotten smell. It is a shame because the location is great.

Delicious food, lovely view Pilgrim's is beautiful, and staff are unfailing friendly and seem happy to be there. A wide variety of food, in good portions. The manager took time to chat with me and give me advice about the area. The terrace along the Mekong includes swings and a variety of fun places.

Pilgrim's Kitchen & Inn is not just a hotel for me but a home. The location is great for a sunset lover, it is quiet and peaceful. The room is clean and I enjoyed the bed (it is very comfortable). All staff are friendly, and foods are great too, I enjoyed Indian food.... Coffee is the best!. I will always choose this place whenever I will be in Savanakhet and definitely I will recommend this place to all my friends.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Pilgrim’s Inn. The room was spacious and clean and a very reasonable price and the staff is exceptional. The linens and towels were very clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bonus for us was the location. Pilgrim’s Inn is located right on the Mekong River so you have a beautiful view. There is also a park next door for early morning walks or just to stretch your legs after a long drive. Then there is Pilgrim’s Kitchen…You don’t want to miss out on their delicious food and coffee. I highly recommend Pilgrim’s Inn!

A very pleasant three nights stay in this hotel. The location was very unique near the park and riverside. A early morning stroll was mandatory along the Esplanade. The room was pleasant and bed very comfortable. Do not miss the meals along the riverside with its soothing breeze. Had the Indian thali set meal which was nice amidst the pleasant river breeze. High recommended for stay in Savannakhet.

From the moment you walk in to when you leave, Dali and his staff make you feel at home. The food and coffee are fantastic. It's also only a short walk to the night market and the Mekong River. Stayed for a couple of nights while doing a visa run. Will definitely be back! Thanks!
