Great place to stay if you are looking to save money on your trip and get the most out of the city since the place is near some bars and eatery. This is just a basic and cheap hotel for you to stay. good place to save money

Older hotel, survived the Typhoon, but it needs help. I went there due to family business. The lobby has no lights! It is dark as you enter, only light from the street. Tacloban is still not recovered, give it another 2 years to ne normalized. La Rica, offers a cold breakfast of fried eggs, a local dish, and rice..served in...

I stayed at The La Rica Hotel for 2 weeks this April 2015. I found the hotel to be old and dark and in need of a new remodel. However, there was always a hot shower available. Staff was friendly and courteous. The location is excellent as it was close to the pier to take a ferry to the Samar...

coming in to tacloban on a very early flight prompted me to look for a hotel that has a room ready for occupancy in downtown. La Rica was the only place who had rooms to offer on a very reasonable rate. however: elevator: smell of used oil and sounded so old hallways: dark and so bare room: small, moldy smelling,...

The hallway was dark, no windows in the room, stained linens, torn towels, fuzzy tv reception and no internet connection. Its just near restaurants and other establishments. The rates are really cheap but the service is bad. You walk by the lobby and the staff are sleeping on the benches and stare at you. I told receptionist to prepare my...

Good thing is its cheap. Bad thing is that even its cheap price is not worth for that kind of hotel.the lobby was dark that my 5 yr old daughter asked me if there was brownout in the place. Worst is that when we went out to grab some breakfast at about 8am,we were surprised to come back to our...

Reasonably priced for such type of accommodation. Everything is within walking distance like food, transportation and entertainment. Rooms have hot and cold shower. Also has wi-fi, telephone and intercom connection. This is my choice hotel in Tacloban City.

I visited Tacloban last Oct. 20 for a solo business trip. I checked in this hotel but unfortunately, it has poor service. No towel in the room. I asked the room boy and told me that he will be back and still no towel till i checked out the next day. Noisy. Gloomy room. No sleeper. No Shampoo. Though, the...

“the problem up there is - in case of so many helping organisations it is nearly impossible to get a nice room, all are occupied by this organisations, some are blocked even nobody is in but they are not allowed to rent it. Well not much to say than check out in advance maybe the Alejandro Hotel is an option.... but havn´t seen the rooms.”

“The best rooms are at the 5th to 4th floor. There is a bar at the penthouse so rooms near to the top have the tendency to be noisy. Stay away near the top floors but if you are the bar type person, it's easy access to your room when drunk :)”
