I stayed with Taalai in Oct 2022 for 4 nights. I spent 3 weeks travelling around Kyrgyzstan; Teskey Guesthouse was by far and away the best accommodation I enjoyed during that trip. Taalai's hospitality and generosity were unparalleled. He took me on two day trips: one to Jeti Oguz and the other to Karakol Valley. These were beautiful and he tailors the trips to cater to your abilities. He also arranged a day's horse riding trip which I'd highly recommend. The guesthouse itself is very comfortable and clean. There's also a peaceful garden where you can enjoy breakfast beside the roses. His mother made delicious porridge and pancakes every morning with fresh fruit grown by her. Overall there's a genuine warmth and caring to the way Taalai runs the guesthouse that makes it feel like a home away from home. I look forward to returning again in the future!…

Taalai is a fabulous host and will take the time to make sure you have everything you need for your hikes or tours. The rooms are rather large and quite comfortable. The guesthouse is easy walking distance to many restaurants and most of the downtown.

Taalai is the best host. He goes out of his way to be helpful whatever you need. He gave us so much good guidance and intel ahead of our trek, on which paths to take and as well as where to pick up supplies. Teskey is a wonderful new B&B with nice rooms and hot showers! The whole place is sparkling clean. The garden is beautiful for a relaxing afternoon after returning from a trek. I cannot recommend this place enough.

We stayed in karakol for three nights, two of them in Terskey Guesthouse. The owner Taalai is a wonderful guy, who gave us lots of information and helped us with all our questions and even walked us to the bus we had to take etc. The Guesthouse is in very good condition and the whole area looks beautiful! The hostel owner is very kind and helpful. Neverthless what issue: ordering taxi, tri recommendation, sending lost stuff by post, cooking special food for bad stomachs. Everything is very clean and the house as a beautiful garden to relax.

During our three-day stay, Talaai and his mother continuously helped us to plan and organise excursions to attractions (Issyk-Kul lake, the Seven Bulls rocks, and Broken Heart rock) and walks of various length and difficulty (three day Ala-Kol trek with a day on horseback, and a day walk along the Valley of Flowers). He was so thorough and knowledgeable, as well as friendly and charming, that we felt no need to use any other tourist information. To top it off, the accommodation was great - the rooms were cool even in scorching heat, WiFi was fast, and showers excellent. If we return to Kyrgyzstan, Teskey will be the first place we visit.

We loved our stay at Teskey!! The breakfasts were delicious with homemade cherry jam from the garden and Mother's homemade bread, endless chai, pancakes, and porridge. If you are lucky enough for Taalai to have a quiet afternoon he might well step in as your tour guide - he is so keen to share his love and knowledge of Kyrgyzstan with impeccable English. He knows the cost and timings for anything and everything and he even took us to the bus station on our departure. We love Taalai 🥰

I can honestly say that Taalai is the most exceptionally warm, helpful and charismatic host I've ever met in all of my travels around the globe. His guest house is beautifully presented, spotlesslessly clean and set amongst a wonderfully colorful garden full of roses, and apricot and cherry trees. Nothing is too much trouble for Taalai: from ordering taxis to supper suggestions and planning treks. We visited all of his favourite restaurants and cafes and where nevvere disappointed- the ashlan- fu and piroshki were particularly delicious! He is the perfect host and we had the most wonderful stay.
