What a lovely surprise this hotel is, very friendly and helpful staff. Gorgeous cup of coffee far better than the chain hotel stuff I've had in past few weeks. Very popular for Xmas party weekends. Looking forward to eating there next time.

A jolly and friendly reception, a lovely room with all those little touches you'd only expect from a more expensive hotel and very comfortable beds. The bathroom, with power shower, was clean and again had all the extras so we were pleased we'd chosen to stay there. Their restaurant, however, was not so good. They make a lot of their...

Our room was very nicely decorated, a good size and very clean. The shower was fantastic, with soap, shower gel, shampoo etc all supplied. Bed and floor boards were very creaky though. Also we were on the top floor which meant a lot of stairs with a heavy bag. We were OK but if you find stairs difficult check which...

We stayed at the hotel this weekend for a family occasion and also dined in the restaurant. The waiting staff provided top class service throughout the evening and the choice and quality of the menu was outstanding. This restaurant is a little gem and if it was in my home town, I would certainly be a regular visitor.

Stayed at the hotel over the weekend with family to celebrate my brothers birthday. The evening dinner was amazing. It's not very often that I can say the menu left me spoilt for choice but this was certainly the case. Our group all ordered different dishes but everyone was bowled over by the quality of the food and it's presentation....

A family run hotel who's experience and caring approach simply radiate from every carefully considered aspect of their operation. Apart from exceeding value for money, there are so many lovely little touches which make you not only feel welcome but also valued as a guest.
