We liked the look of Santa Marinella when we stopped there on our Italian road trip and decided to stay for a few days. Luckily we found the L'isola hotel. We were offered rooms with the most beautiful, uninterrupted sea views. The hotel is fairly basic but the rooms are large and comfortable with good en suite bathrooms - all... More

Stayed here for the 4th time, this being the first time in the summer months. The hotel as ever was brilliant. Francesco makes you so welcome. The piazza where the hotel is situated was closed off each evening for entertainment and eating. This created a lovely, festival type atmosphere. Would love to return every year !!

Perfect small hotel, rooms are large and comfortable; we chose sea view rooms with a balcony. Breakfast is nicely done, continental style with fresh coffee made to order. Delightful! After a long flight, Hotel L'isola was the antidote to jet lag; short walk into town for food, shopping, or just a walkabout. Not only would I recommend this hotel, I'd... More

We are no resort ppl but like to stay at clean and confortable places. For Italy standard this is what I would call a better than average hotel. Good location. Takes 7-10 min to walk to the beach which is long and has a couple of restaurants and cafes. A lot of restaurants and bars really close to the hotel... More

We loved our stay here. Easy train ride from Rome. Our room was on the top floor with a gorgeous view of the water- we especially enjoyed watching the sailboats. A short walk to small beach and short drive to a bigger stretch of beach with a castle nearby. The staff was truly phenomenal and spoke English. The owner's father... More

After a ten hour flight that arrived at Fiumicino airport in the late morning we found Santa Marinella and Hotel L'isola the perfect place to recover from jet lag before heading to Toscana. After picking up our rental car at the airport we arrived at the hotel located on a small piazza away from the main street at mid day... More

A beautiful respite for two nights until our cruise. Johnny and his team were most accommodating. Our room, they let you check out the rooms when you come, was in the second building with two balconies. Just sat in the afternoon, with some wine, bread and cheese from the market around the corner and enjoyed the views. The room was... More

Before heading to Rome for a 4 day jaunt there, we decided to do one night in a nearby beach town. Of course, the weather would not allow us to swim, but everyone in the group I was in appreciates being near the water and hearing the waves. It was a very relaxing day and night we spent here, before... More

We were a family of 2 adults and 3 kids. We had 2 ocean front rooms and had the most wonderful time in Santa Marinella. Friendly staff, wonderful town square and amazing breakfast and cappucino. We cannot wait to visit again when we need a quick beach trip from Rome. Very clean hotel and decor so charming. The views are... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in early November before our TransAtlantic cruise. So glad we did. The staff is great! We had a nice quiet room with a refrigerator, balcony, and a sea view. Breakfast was pleasant. The beach town and the hotel were very laid back, so it was a great place to relax and get over our... More
