Stayed in this hotel during Punk Rock Holiday as we're too old and grumpy to bother with camping anymore. The room was spacious and clean and had air conditioning and a fridge; could not ask for anymore! Breakfast consisted of bread, meats and cheeses, croissants, coffee and juice and was lovely. Staff were really accommodating and very friendly. Last year... More

I visited this hotel for the 4th time with my husband and two boys age 7 and 9. We always stay in this hotel when visiting Slovenia as it is run by a family and it's perfect for our visit. We stayed here for 3 nights. The family who runs this hotel makes us feel like part of their family... More

We visited this pension on our mountainbike travel trough Slovenia. This pension looks small but has and excellent service and the breakfast and dinner were really excellent. We enjoyed our mushroom soup and the trout we got was from an exceptional quality and tasted delicious ! As a stay for one night we would really recommend this place !

I booked by email for a week and extended to 2 weeks staying for 15 nights. Room was of a good size, comfortable with quiet air conditioning and a small fridge. Bathroom was of a good size with decent shower. Family run hotel with efficient, friendly and helpful service. I ate dinner in the dining room on about 5 occasions,... More

We had one extra night stay in Tolmin, due to our flights being changed by the airline. At the last minute, we found hotel Rutar, and luckily they could accommodate the whole family (although my teenage sons did have to share a double bed - oh what a cruel world haha). The hotel has lovely spacious/clean rooms and food was... More

Myself and my husband have stayed here a couple of times when visiting the area. It's a clean and comfortable guest house with very friendly staff who are always very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and very reasonably priced. Parking is easy. In a good location for exploring the surrounding area which is... More

Reception with limited hours open.Very good atencion. Room with minibar, very spacious. Good breakfast, with variety (very good bread, cheese, ham, variety of jams, chicken cream, juice, tea, coffee and milk), no fruit. You have to wait a long time to get hot water.

We travelled at the end of June so the pension wasn't full. We got a double room with balcony (over the main entrance). The room interior was 1980's style and worn. There was a empty fridge, old armchair and tv. We slept well and got nice service. Receptionists were smiling and helpful. The breakfast included coffee, bread, cold cuts and... More

ROOM : Very old-fashioned and cheap-looking furnishings in the room. Not appealing and doesn’t make me look forward to returning to the room each night. On a positive side, the room and shower room are very spacious and look fairly clean (except for something in the shower room – check my attached photo). TV, mini fridge, hair dryer, soap, shampoo,... More

Three lads on a flyfishing trip came to Slovenia for the first time. After the usual sweaty stress of a drive though a new country in blistering heat, this place was an immediate salve. Within seconds of stumbling over the threshold we knew we'd made the best choice. This family-run hotel is (for me, and the others) perfect. The rooms... More
