Food: very good. Top notch 'pub grub'. Staff: very helpful & friendly Beer: very good Location: excellent if walking 'Hadrian's Wall'. Bedroom: poor; dirty & very noisy plumbing with thin walls. This is a great place to eat & drink in but not to stay in. None of my group liked the bedrooms

We called for a midweek evening meal. The bar staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. There was a good range of choice on the menu and specials board. When the food arrived the portions were appropriately sized for my children and a good size for me. The kids certainly enjoyed their food and my burger was very good. My...

It's The Hadrian Hotel, it's in a place called wall, so it's an obvious choice to stay for a Trail Walker. It's a mixed review, mainly because the room was pretty shabby and seemed to have last been decorated about 40 years ago. It was not en-suite, and the bathroom down the hall was clean but not wonderful, and the...

We called here for a pint and sandwich after a long hot walk in the area. The staff were friendly and helpful, the beer was cold and delicious. We ordered Beef sandwiches which came with chips, coleslaw and leaves. Sadly the sandwiches were dreadful. I should have asked for a saw - the beef was too tough to cut -...

Stayed here as part of walking Hadrians Wall. staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. rooms were a little tired and bathrooms need replacing but sounds like it's about to change hands anyway. Would stay again, just for one night.

This was the most expensive of the 3 places we stayed on The Wall and the lowest in quality. We felt that we were paying the going rate for staying near Hadrian's Wall but for outdated accommodation. We had room 10 [although there are only 8 rooms!]. it overlooked the back yard but at least it was one of the...

my family visited as part of family celebration meal and left incredibly disappointed ,the standard of not only the food but the whole establishment in general left a great deal to be desired .Both ladies and gents toilets were in a disgusting state, ladies having holes in the wall, door handle areas filthy and an overall look of severe tiredness....

The hadrian used to be a popular, cheerful, fun place to go for a nice meal and a few games of pool. The staff were always welcoming and chatty, and it thrived with locals, lads playing pool and families meeting up, children running around in the gardens. We were passing and for old times sake called in for a quick...

A nice local hotel. Very relaxed attitude. Our room #6 was lovely and large.....and spotless. The shower had good pressure but was not a fan of wall to wall carpet in the bathroom.....even in Wall (geddit LOL). Had a great evening and a good nights sleep even with the windows open as it was a scorcher all day. The other...

Stayed overnight while walking Hadrian's Wall. The staff were fine but the rooms were tired and dirty --- the filthy crockery at breakfast was the final straw! This is the first and probably only time I will write a review but it was disgusting. There is also a lot of noise from the road if you stay the night. Be...
