It was m'y second visite to kelibia beach hôtel ans I was very satisfied by tha the quality of services, Food, staff, beach, organisation ... I recommand this hotel for families to have a good break and rest
If you are looking for a private beach, you are in the right place. we really enjoyed the crystal clear water. we spent 3 nights end of June when the hotel is almost empty. we were really pleased with the professionalism of the staff especially in term of respect of the covid protocol. However, the food quality was medium and did not meet our expectations; the lunch in the restaurant 'a la carte' was really poor quality, tasteless and cannot meet a 4 star hotel standards. Finally, there is no animation and you have nothing to do during the nights.
This hotel is certainly the very best in the area.. We had a fabulous room with a view of the sea. The colour of the water is spectacular with pure white sand. We were the only English speaking people at the hotel that we are aware of. We really enjoyed seeing the Tunisian families with their children and they were all very friendly to us. The wines at dinner were extremely good. The food was surprisingly delicious. Slah, the restaurant manager, was both friendly and helpful. He explained what was available and ensured we were well looked after. You shouldn’t go expecting 5 star finesse however it is a great place to relax in comfortable surroundings. You can walk along the beach for miles and miles with out seeing anyone other than a few fisherman. There is literally nothing in the vicinity to do but for us this was what we came for - to simply relax. The massage manager is a very capable woman who speaks excellent English. I had treatments there and they were fabulous and very inexpensive. The only recommendations are as follows: The hotel needs to do more regarding the plastic on the beach. Frankly the whole town needs to work on this. The perfume they use in the rooms is rather overpowering at first and not something we liked. However, you can just slide the balcony doors open and it soon fades. The glass doors need to be cleaned before a guest arrives. I actually cleaned the glass myself. With such incredible views it really is important to keep the glass clean. This is your selling point. Finally, the coffee in the restaurant is really dreadful. We had the mint tea which is good. We paid to have coffee in the bar which is not this awful powder stuff you will her in the dining area. It’s definitely worth it for under a £1. The lovely young woman on reception helped to arrange a driver for us. She was so pleasant and a real asset to the hotel. We grew to really like this place. If we were ever in the area we would return. Many thanks to the waiting staff and cooks. We were really surprised at the quality of the food on offer. It’s the views! …
The resort is grand & beautiful, with a private beach offering you a chance to soak in the crystal clear waters and the sun. There's an outdoor and indoor pool to choose from. The spa in the resort is really good for a relaxed day. The staff is worth mentioning too - the guys are so polite and helpful, even with the language barriers they would try their best to help you with whatever you need. A few not so good things are: the air conditioning - seems to work only in the night, was very weak during the day and it felt better opening the balcony door than use the Air conditioning inside, the language - all the options/menus seem to be listed in Italian & French only, it would be a bit more helpful to the tourist from other countries if they had an English version too.
Well deserved 4* hotels but with many negative points. The animation is only in italian and the animation team is italoan , i find it disrespectful for other nationalities that they don't take into consideration to amuse other residents. Second negative point is the water in restaurant, 2/3 time we get disgusting water that i'm sure is tap water. Third negative point is the air conditioner, I've never been in an hotel where air conditioning is settled to work only at night and when it works it is really weak. Only positive point in this hotel is the friendly staff, the food & the place (sea is magnificent) in my opinion the price is exaggerated ( 230 dinars/person/night).
