Harvest farm is a beautiful property situated minutes from Healseville. My family and I stayed at the dairy house, a 2 bedroom house surrounded by lovely gardens and fruit trees. The house was warm, comfortable and clean and rooms were generous in size and nicely styled. Our kids loved feeding the animals and picking fruit and vegetables from the wonderful...

One of my most favorite places! Loved the cottage and its location. Nice and cosy and very private. Tastefully furnished and extremely charming. Would have happily stayed on for a couple more days of it was possible. Would definitely return!

Hmmm.. to call this place a farm is a bit of a stretch.. was nice for a night to get away,, nice and quiet etc.. lovely spa bath and linen and towels were all nice and clean BUT there were no animals..!!!! I'm just so glad we didn't bring the kids and promise them horses and cows as there were...

Hi Lauren, thanks for your feedback, and sorry you didn't see the animals. They don't always stay in the paddock in front of the cottage. We allow them freedom to roam the farm to find the best pasture. The sheep, cow, horses and alpaca must have been in the top paddock at the time you visited, past the orchard and...

The Dairy House feels very welcoming on arrival with fresh flowers throughout. Whilst the furniture is reasonably old and detracts somewhat from your initial impression it fits with the cottagey look and feel. There is a lot to like about this place, but also some frustrating issues that could be fixed. Our frustrations were the microwave being located on the...

Thank you so much for your feedback. Apologies for the delay in responding but we have only just recently taken over Harvest Farm and saw your post. Both cottages, Harvest House and Dairy House, are delightful and the outlook fabulous, but we agree it's attention to details that can make all the difference. The cottages are again immaculate and well...

Amazing place. Fire place, spa bath, kitchen facilities, peace and quiet with amazing country views. We have stayed here many times. Well worth a night or weekend away to treat yourself. Bring your own food and enjoy cooking it in the older style kitchen, an old but nice deck to sit outside. The property offers many farm animals including horses,...

As soon as we arrived at Harvest Farm we felt a wonderful sense of calm. The cottage was spacious, beautifully decorated, well equipped and well stocked with food, wine and firewood! We had brunch on arrival at Harvest Cafe (delicious food) and were presented with our gourmet breakfast basket, which stretched beautifully over two mornings. We also received a discount...

We enjoyed our stay in the Dairy house. It certainly is quaint and old but has been done up nicely, particularly the bathroom. The bedrooms are lovely and compliments to the owners for the lovely fresh flowers throughout the house - that's a nice touch. The kitchen is well stocked with bread boards, platters etc. The beds are comfy. Some...

We stayed at Harvest House. For the price we expected more. 80s decor, 80s magazines, dirty and totally misleading to call it a farm. Not sure how this price is justified but will not return and would clearly not recommend.

Very disappointing to read your review following your stay in September. I have been slow in responding to your review but would like to say your feedback has been taken very seriously … in the last few weeks we actually closed the cottage and have put a fresh lime wash on the floors, have new carpet & beautiful new screen...

We stayed at harvest house and for the price we honestly expected more incl better quality furniture, a cleaner shower and actual laundry facilities. Also thought it would be a "farm" rather than just land. Had a good time - but wont be back

We stayed one night in Dairy House. It is in a lovely setting and has all the features other posters have described. Whilst we enjoyed our stay, overall it did not live up to our expectations (expectations based on the management's website description and the tariff). Our experience was that cleanliness was lacking, attention to detail (you might expect for...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Your own beautiful farmhouse with a touch of luxury ... on a gentle north facing slope, Harvest Farm is an 18 acre property just minutes from the township overlooking the Healesville Sanctuary. Private gardens of camellias & roses, huge oaks, mountain views, the ultimate in style, relaxation & tranquility, this is what a country escape should be like! The property has two houses - Dairy House & Harvest House. Dairy House welcomes you with an open plan living and dining-area with windows overlooking decades old rhodedendron & camellias. The expansive decking is ideal for relaxing with a glass of chilled rose while grazing on charcuterie & cheeses picked up from our kitchen & butcher produce store. Dairy House offers two enormous, beautifully detailed king size bedrooms (one available as a twin) with electric blankets & mohair throws. The large bathroom with spa bath has french windows overlooking the garden & pastures. Big white towels, handmade local soaps and a heated floor makes the bathroom a lovely retreat. The fully equipped kitchen is central to the house & offers oven, cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge. White crockery, big saucepans, chopping boards, sharp knives, local olive oil & sea salt flakes are ready for cooking up a storm with the amazing local produce you can gather from farm gates, local markets and produce stores. The living area is flooded with natural light and features a large olive green couch and lounge, lots of cushions, flat screen TV, DVD player & CD player. The living area has a split system & cosy wood heater. The house is readied for guests with masses of flowers from the garden, handmade local soap, fresh ground Genovese coffee and T2 tea leaves. When the weather is fine there are countless places to secret yourself; swing in the hammock under the 120 year old sprawling oak, take in the fresh air and mountain views, sit on the large deck in the afternoon, or dine at twilight. In winter, stoke up the wood fire and cosy up on the couch with a glass of red wine, the weekend papers, some jazz and watch the clouds roll over the mountains. The kids will love spending time with the horses, climbing in the tree house, exploring the garden, the little playground, collecting eggs for breakfast, feeding bread to the cows & discovering country space. Harvest House offers two beautifully detailed king size bedrooms (one available as a twin), a large bathroom with spa bath and French windows overlooking the garden and pastures. The fully equipped kitchen has windows overlooking the original succulent garden and includes an oven, cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and an original woodstove. The kitchen is stocked with local olive oil, sea salt flakes, a selection of decent knives and white crockery. The living area is open plan with French doors leading onto a terrace and BBQ area. A huge chocolate brown suede couch, games, glossy magazines, books, DVDs, CDs and a cosy wood fire complete the lounge. The house is readied for guests with masses of flowers from the garden, handmade local soap, fresh ground coffee and twining tea. When the weather is fine there are countless places to secrete yourself; in a deckchair to take in the fresh air and mountain views, sit on the front veranda in the afternoon, dine on the back terrace at twilight. In winter, stoke up the wood fire and cosy up on the couch, or lie in front of the fire on the huge persian cushions with a glass of red wine, the weekend papers, some jazz and watch the clouds roll over the mountains. ... more   less
