I have been visiting beautiful Lofoten several times and found this location to be one of the best in Lofoten. Take a look at my attached photos and you will understand! This area (Hamnøy-Sakrisøy-Reine) is the best part of Lofoten - and Lofoten is the most beautiful part of my country!! I stayed in cabin 4 “Willy-bua” cabin for three... More

This was such an amazing vacation. And staying at Eliassen Rorbuer was the main reason. This little Island was in the perfect location. We had a chance to see the northern lights two nights out of the 3 we stayed. We stayed at room 23. It faced the half lake and the mountains. The view was amazing. Perfect for watching... More

This was a very convenient and comfortable place to relax in after energetic walks up wild mountains. Kitchens were well equipped and very quiet. A little expensive by my usual standards, but so is most of Norway.

We stayed here for two nights recently. Kasia at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large with a separate living room. The view out our bedroom window was spectacular! It rained a bit while we were there but that was expected. I wish we had more time to explore this amazing location in Norway.

Eliassen Rorbuer gave us homely feel. It was very clean and came with complete kitchen facilities. The view was beautiful and a good location to spot Northern lights. The only thing to note is you have to clean up the room before you leave or you will be charged NOK300 for cleaning fee.

We stayed 2 nights in a two-bedroom cabin at this rorbuer. It took us some time to locate our cabin (number 36) as it was unmarked even on their maps, and a little secluded. In fact, it wasn't even on their online system that we were supposed to use to check ourselves in on (we arrived after the reception closed,... More

We had a fantastic stay at Eliassen. Checkin was very efficient we only needed to key in the code they'd emailed us few days before. The 2BR cottage we stayed at was beyond perfection. It's huge and clean. The big pain for us was just having to clean up after the stay. It just felt ridiculous after paying quite a... More

Great spot, with we had stayed two nights. Comfortable and cozy cabins. Our rental included the towel and linens at no charge due to the booking - but we did have self cleaning which took only 20-30 min. Great parking, amazing views. Fast wifi. Only draw back was the bunk beds but I knew that going in to the rental.... More

Keep in mind the price : about 180$/night without breakfast. Based on this price, we were disapointed of this rorbu. First the pro : beautiful spot, calm and typical rorbu ! The rorbu is very big, with a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom and upstairs, a double bed. Parking is free. Rowboat are free to use in the bay... More

Travelers be aware. Eliassen expects you to clean your own cabin. Floors must be swept and mopped. All surfaces must be washed in the kitchen and toilets. I didn't go on vacation to scrub toilets. This is a 120 Euro hotel, I thought, not a hostel. A strange vision of hospitality. We moved out after one night and went to... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
There is a place on Earth where the Sun never sets, the Northern lights never cease to amaze, and the landscape changes constantly, the wind never stops blowing and the people always smile. These are the Lofoten. Eliassen Rorbuer is a holiday resort with fishermen’s cabins, enjoying the longest tradition in the tourist industry in Lofoten. We offer accommodation in a traditional fishermen’s cabin camp, in the most beautiful western part of the Lofoten Islands. It is situated on the tiny island of Hamnøy in Western Lofoten, the Moskenes municipality. The island is the last one in the archipelago to have the road link. Currently the Lofoten Islands are mainly associated with fishing, which takes place from January to April, alongside the entire archipelago. All of our cabins are new renovated and got a new floor, kitchen, bathroom and furnishings. Welcome to refreshed Eliassen Rorbuer! ... more   less
