Elizabeth and David are the most gracious and friendly hosts ever. The house is nice and the rooms clean and comfy. And....breakfast was AMAZING ! The gardens are impeccable, and just a short distance from the centre of Durham...and the sense of seclusion is very real. You've got to try this place.

My father and I travelled to Durham to tour a nearby dairy farm, and this B&B was recommended by the farmers. Elisabeth was really accommodating on the phone and let us defer the decision of whether we wanted 1 or 2 rooms till we arrived and were able to see the rooms for ourselves (we ended up taking 2 rooms...

Beautiful people..especially the wonderful English cook! Catered to my dietary needs (gluten free, and vegetarian) with delicious homemade gluten free muffins, gluten free crepes with chocolate spread, organic whipped cream, raspberries, and maple syrup made locally. Two friendly cats, which snuggle up to you by the wood burning fireplace, looking out to a country view, with lots of trees.

He even lent us his car to drive to the local Chines Restaurant (Young's Garden, where the food was very...

My sister and I needed an overnight while we did ancestry research at the library in Durham. We were pleased that the librarian helped us find a B&B, a first-time experience for me. The atmosphere is totally calming, with beautiful music, windows shaded by greenery, and the grounds abounding in plantings of traditional flowers. The room had comfortable beds, was...

We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at a terrific B&B in the Southwestern Ontario town of Durham. Forest Edge is down a long driveway and its name is an apt one since you really are surrounded by trees. The grounds are lovely with lots of well-tended flowerbeds and a water feature. The house itself is wonderfully appointed and...
