We didn't expect this to be a 5 star premises, but it certainly surpassed some of our stays in 4 star establishments. The little extras for the price makes this place an excellent place to stay - free continental breakfast, free parking, biscuits (cream ones) with tea and coffee facilities, and a microwave with crockery and cutlery. Our double room...

Besides the fact that Bell St is very busy and therefore the road-facing rooms get quite a bit of road noise, the first impression was of the external building door which had, at some point, been subject to a jemmy bar or similar. Once in my room, I noticed that the extra lock had been removed at some point. Didn't...

First night stopover in Melbourne and we didn't need anything special ... just a room for the night. Very friendly welcome ... good start. The room was what you would expect for the price & location but it was a nice size and well equipped. The breakfast was normal fare but plenty to eat and drink and the bread was...

We arrived late after dropping a relative at the airport. Reception was closed but we were provided with easy to follow instructions to get our key and find our room. Even a personally written note wishing us a happy new year and a pleasant stay. Very quiet and comfortable room, the night was very hot, but the manager and switched...

We have stay here a few times and find the service from Paul and staff excellent. The rooms are very clean and well kept. We would recommend staying here for a quality low cost room. Handy to where we wanted to go.

We had not used this motel prior to this occasion and were very pleasantly surprised by the room size and the comfort within the room. During our two night stay there was no noise from outside or other guests (the place was full!). The bed was huge and extremely comfortable with the TV well located for ease of viewing. The...

Stayed for 3 nights with family. Very comfy hotel, well equipped large rooms with large tv, fridge, microwave and kettle. Giant bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had good selection of cereals, breads etc. all very satisfying. Ten minute walk to tram and train to centre. Plenty of restaurants an bars nearby. Staff were all very helpful. Will certainly go back.

Thank you Paul & Sue for the one night stay! Very friendly persons and everything was very clean! Breakfast ends at 9:30 and at 9:20 we got new milk, toast etc. - that's how it always should be. The breakfast terrace is very nice. Stayed there one night and everything was pretty good.

We have spent 4 nights in the Bell Motel. Must admit we have stayed at many motels and was a bit concerned about this one, it was unknown to us. There was no need to worry, the motel is older, however it is very clean and very comfortable. I understand it is currently going through a bathroom up grade. The...

We had a spa room which has a king bed and plenty of space on ground floor. Too busy to use spa but will book same again due to the bed and space. Paul is a great operator. Would recommend you stay here. Close to tram into center of Melbourne city center (40 mins). Basic but ideal self catered breakfast.
