We arrived and checked in, tablets to self check in looked confusing, but a friendly female staff member helped. Rooms are small but main concern was lack of cleanliness. Finger marks all over glass, hand-wash empty, loo flush dirty and shower drain very nasty. In Covid time this was not acceptable really. However we had a celebration to attend. After a lunch which was fine, the staff seemed to lack training or interpersonal skills. For a US style sports venue the service and attitude was UK style poorly trained. When we tried to get help for a taxi to get 3 miles away, there are a shrug and "oh it is Friday" in Bristol...took 1.15 to get here from London Paddington. Took 1.5 hours to try to get a taxi which irritated the chap on the desk. They could have advised or helped more, they did not care we were late for the celebration. Someone had to collect us. Not very 5* or customer focused with very non-Covid poor hygiene.

I would appreciate if breakfast starts at 7am instead of 7.30am, at least for business clients. The cleanness if the room / bathroom should be improved. No fridge in the room. Mee and greet receptionists would make the experience more personal.

Generally this hotel offers below average quality at above average price. The rooms are small and basically fitted out. The bar/grill has a limited offering of low grade food. The hotel is clean, the checking in process is automated but fine. Did not use the gym or pool so perhaps these support the otherwise unjustifiable room rate.

I stayed at this location 8th November, the hotel itself seemed nice and have no issue with this. However, I left my coat and air pods in the restaurant after breakfast. Once I realised this I called the hotel and the staff were extremely helpful. Asked if I was still in the area and if I wasn't they would post my belongings to me. I was delighted with this. Now here we are 2 months later and I am still yet to receive my belongings. The customer service contact online is non-existent and I have heard nothing from them despite emailing them on a few occasions. The site itself has not responded to one of my emails since the day I first contacted them. I have spoken to a couple of people and they still tell me that my stuff will be sent, not sure what sort of time frame I should be waiting for but surely 2 months is a bit much. Any help in this matter would be great.
