Our family of 6 all agree that the time we spent at the Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge was our favorite of the trip. We spent 11 days in Belize and went from the ocean to the jungle -- the location is just gorgeous and even though you are in the heart of the jungle, Ron and Al and their outstanding...

Our stay there was very laid back and the staff is super accommodating. The meals are fabulous. The menu is family style (same meal for everyone) and were some of the best meals we had in Belize. They have a variety of meat options and the staff goes above and beyond to ask what type you would like. From there...

Been back for almost a week and just realizing how much fun we had. My 14-year old daughter and I spent 4 days at the lodge and had the time of our lives. From our initial booking to our flight back, Ron and his staff went out of there way to make sure we were comfortable at all times. We...

We had a wonderful stay at Macaw Bank. Hosts/Owners Ron and Al were great always available and accommodated our every needs from GF menu to our birding guide Andy Tut who was super, our best birding ever... plus they were just fun to visit with and share their experiences in Belize. My wife and I stopped here on our honeymoon this summer and the location is absolutely beautiful. Tucked in the jungle with big, beautiful trees and a path that leads you through the woods over hand-made footbridges past mounds of leaf-cutter ants and to the banks of a clear, sandy river. Ron and Al made us feel at home. The...

Hello Andy, Thank you for spending your honeymoon with us, and for still remembering us !! All of our rooms have fans, and the good news is that it almost always cools down at night in the jungle ! It would be cost prohibitive to add air conditioning as we are off grid, and it is very seldom that one...

For the Jungle Experience we have no complaints as it met all our expectations. Our room wasn't quite ready when we showed up, so one of the guys set us up with a couple hammocks where we relaxed and listened to the jungle sounds. There are hummingbird feeders around the bar and restaurant area and they are busy with beautiful...

First off I was afraid of the jungle and the potential creatures. I couldn't have been more wrong. This is one, if not the most relaxing and satisfying places I've ever visited. Ron and Al (the owners) were two of the best owners of any style resort. The cuisine was a fantastic mixture of local Belizean and international food. The...

We spent a week at Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge in December and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our host, Ron, was most helpful and responsive right from our first inquiry. On arriving Ron soon helped us plan our customized itinerary and set up all our guided tours and self-guided excursions. We enjoyed a perfect mix of relaxing on-site activities (birding and tubing),...

I recently visited Macaw Bank for an afternoon cocktail at a nice quiet location and this was just the spot. The staff and management were very friendly and the drinks and wine selection was delicious. We hiked down to the Macal River after a drink and that was stunningly beautiful as well. I'd highly recommend visiting here.

I just returned from our stay at the Macaw and it was incredible. I have traveled all over and the hospitality of Ron and his staff was first class. My 82 year old mother was with us and she had a terrible cough. Ron ran to the store and purchased 2 bottles of cough medicine. He went over and beyond....
