We enjoyed every moment of our stay at Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge. We look for a place that is wild but also has its creature comforts (like the best ever mango margarita) and this was it. The cabana was lovely, comfortable and organically planned and executed to highlight the beauty of the jungle. We were surrounded by all sorts of...

Just returned for a weekend stay and we were very happy with the service and jungle setting. It's a birdwatcher's paradise. If you want luxury, this is not the place for you. This is the place for persons who want to get back to nature and enjoy a TRUE NATURAL SETTING. It's located Off the Beaten Path, but is a...

There are so many great reviews for Macaw Bank I wasn't going to bother adding another but 2 months after our stay we keep thinking back on Macaw Bank. Ron, Al, Henry and crew provide a wonderfully unique jungle lodge experience. It is not a typical resort . An 8 mile dirt road to get there, occasionally intermittent electricity and...

We very much enjoyed our 3 nights at Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge. The cabanas were clean and very cozy. The hosts/owners, Al & Ron were very friendly and extremely accommodating. Al & Ron are excellent cooks, the meals were fantastic. The grounds are kept up quite nicely, and the private beach at the river was very relaxing after a hot...

Ron and Al were great hosts during my 4-night stay at the Macaw Bank early February. Traveling solo and being the only guest at the lodge during that time, I was pampered with attention and catered to for all my meals. I have a small appetite and don’t usually eat a lot in the heat so I could not finish...

We stayed the last 3 nights of our Belezean trip at Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge. It was a fun and fulfilling experience. Al and Ron were gracious hosts and very accomodating. The food at MBJL was exceptional and we found ourselves thinking about what would be served next as our days unfolded, we were never disappointed. The drinks were generous...

I just got back from Belize yesterday and I can’t say enough good things about Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge. This was hands down the best resort/guest house I’ve ever stayed and it has everything to do with the owners, Ron and Al. The first thing to note is that if you’re planning on staying in the San Ignacio or San...

Ron and Al have done an admirable job in clearing the jungle to create a great jungle lodge. Because of my recent lung transplant, they washed the walls of our cabin with a dilute bleach solution to make sure there wasn't any mold problem--it IS a rain forest. The bed was comfortable, with adequate blankets. The thatched covered large central...

If you're like me, you tend to enjoy your vacations, but often "wish just a few little things had been different." Well, I've just come back from a stay at Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge and I wouldn't change one single thing., Having read the reviews here on TripAdvisor, I was pretty sure Macaw Bank would suit my desires for a...

Macaw Jungle Lodge was an amazing experience. From the day we drove up until the day we left I felt totally at home. The accomodations were very comfortable albeit a little chilly. Ron told us to bring warm pajamas but I didn't listen. But it was made nice and warm by the extra blankets that were provided. At night you...
