Hi, I am thinking about staying at your resort in June. We want to see the ruins, which ones would you recommended, how far are they from the resort and should we book a tour to the ruins? Do we need a car to get around, we will be there three days? I would love to do caving but I'm claustrophobic, do you think this is a problem? Should we book excursions ahead of time or when we get there? Lastly will it be rainy?

Xunantunich is a Mayan ruin that is quite close. You can get there by car or on horseback. I didn't do caving but I don't think it's very terrifying if you're claustrophobic. Can't make any weather predictions - sorry

Hello! We have reservations for 3 nights beginning May 27th. I am trying to figure out how to spend our time. I had scratched the idea of canoeing (let's say my husband and I don't paddle well together LOL) but I saw some reviews that said each canoe has a guide. Can someone confirm that? Also considering horseback riding but it's been a long long time since I've riden. Are these trails ok for a novice? I would love to pull out all the big guns and go to Tikal but am wondering if it's really really worth the extra cost and time? Thanks for all your help!
