Beautiful Chateau, wonderfully restored. Baron Phillip and his wife have made it labor of love to preserve the history for all of us. Baron's family has lived in this castle for 200 years but the castle history goes back to more than 2000 years. Rooms are simple but modern and historical at the same time. The true gem of the...

Stayed here for 3 nights in June 2016 as my friends booked the whole chateau for their wedding. We had a great time and fell in love with the castle from day 1. We traveled as a family of 4 with 2 toddlers and the owner of the castle was extremely kind to purchase 2 brand new cots just for...

We stayed here for one night during our trip driving around Europe. It was definitely the most unique place we stayed. The other reviews are accurate: If you like staying in very old, owner-run castles in the French countryside, this is probably the place for you. If you love A/C, hate climbing old, twisty stone staircases, and want a gourmet...

We booked this place and decided not to stay because the room was in excess of 90 degrees, HOT! with no fan or air conditioning. I understand it is a historical castle. Also the room reserved for us was tiny, in the attic, single bed, no shower, with a sun light that baked the heat directly onto the bed. Policy...

We visited this wonderful hotel a few days ago. The owners of the hotel are very kind and helpful people. The rooms are a bit old, but come on - you'd expect this from an old castle... There is no elevator/lift, but this is not a big problem (the government doesn't allow the owners to add it in this historical...

Do not be fooled. Rooms are quaint and it is a very old castle, but there is no modern conveniences. No air conditioning and my room was adorned with a sky light that provided the intense light of 1000 suns burring on my single bed in the attic. It had to be 90 degrees in the room with no fan...

Lovely place to stay, beautiful setup and the chateau brings you back in time... We only stayed one night, arrived late afternoon and brought directly to our room at 2nd floor. There's no lift in the chateau, so don't bring big heavy luggage.. We travelled with 2young children and they love the huge garden and the surrounding of the chateau....

The Chateaux offers bed and breakfast in an old castle with an authentic history throughout, with its massively thick walls, towers, dry moat, creaky floorboards, refurbished warm bedrooms and modern clean bathrooms with free wifi. Other parts of the chateaux do seem to be undergoing some refurbishment. There is no restaurant, but the owners kindly booked me into a restaurant...

My husband and I stayed at the castle in mid-February 2013 for his birthday weekend. The baroness greeted us warmly and in perfect English (she is Scottish), telling us all about the history of the family's ownership of the property. The guest rooms are lovingly decorated and to high standard. There is a scent of mold (mould) on the lower...

A wonderful place and excellent service. We received a very warm welcome by the owners who went out of there way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The room was superb and the breakfast excellent both in terms of quality and choice.
