The view from our unit was so calming - you could watch the ocean all day. The accommodation is self contained - there are limited "served in room" meals available - and Raglan is 7-8 km away. The welcome is warm and the breakfast basket with Luxury Escapes is generous. There is no mobile phone signal, but phone calls are...

As soon as I arrived in Raglan I felt straight away the "chill surf vibes" of the place and Waoku Lodge is the best place that you can be if you are looking for comfort, relax, quiet, amazing view, clean room and friendly stuff. Everyone is welcoming, and the place is stunning. I couldn't ask more. Every apartment has 2...

Location is lovely with views to the coast and the apartments are attractive, fairly quiet, good kitchen with ample utensils to prepare a good self catering option. However attention to detail and the provision of quality inclusions and service are lacking. We had a unique situation in that we changed rooms during the stay. We were happy with that as...

Gorgeous views, friendly staff, beautiful rooms and the outdoor spa is seriously amazing! Just a short stroll to Raglan town and for surfers....this place is literally heaven. Surf and play all day and unwind in the spa with wine and munchies. Private and unforgettable. GREAT place for romantic getaways.

We also purchased the 3 night special through luxury escapes - glad we didn't pay their full price. All we got was a hamper that was supposed to have locally sourced items - 2 pkts each of small popcorn and chips, some chocolate and chocolate cake, a small loaf of bread, 2 pies and 2 croissants, milk and muesli. Even...

We stayed at the lodge called Matangi. It is a two bedroom self-contained apartment, with a Jacuzzi and a large bathroom/shower. The kitchen is quite large and had most of the things you would expect. Our stay came with a massage (it was really relaxing!) and breakfast (from a choice of three styles) and one lunch. The TV doesn't have...

I purchased a 3 night special through luxury escapes so paid about a 3rd of the full rate. The apartment is lovely and the view gorgeous. Both Sharon and Sarah were very friendly and helpful. When I discovered the normal rate is $799 per night I was very shocked. Had we actually paid that I would of been asking for...

Beautiful location, great view, lovely room but there are issues. Coming from a tropical part of the world we are used to a dealing with mossies but the rooms here make it difficult to cope with the swarms that were around. No screens on the windows mean you have to choose between staying mosquito free and fresh air. The kitchen...

We stayed at Waoku Lodge for the first 3 nights of our honeymoon in New Zealand. It was just perfect! The room was so nice - it had great amenities and space - and looked out onto a stunning view of the ocean. It was so peaceful as there as well! Lovely and quiet. Our host, Sharon, provided great service...

We have been to NZ several times, but went recently with my cousin and her fiancee visiting from Canada. We had asked for Sharon to make dinner for us and we arrived to a very stunning place and had to most incredible meal! Sharon is a fantastic cook! The accomodation was stunning and it was great that the outside spa...
