We stayed here after changing our route around Spain and Portugal and wanted to meet up with some friends who had just arrived the day before in Spain. They have been to this area before and said we would love the town and we did. Because it was last minute and we needed somewhere with parking for our bike we ended up booking a room here. Parking is in front of the hotel and the bike was safe enough here. The lady on reception who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the front of the hotel. There wasn’t many people staying there that night and it was very quiet but we still managed to get drinks from the bar. The room was simple but clean and the bed was comfy and despite the heat we still got a good nights sleep. The bathroom was clean but there were a few cracks in the toilet which worried me lol The hotel is a few minute’s walk into town and what a stunning place it is. It was like stepping back into time. Here you will find plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Across the road from the hotel is a swimming pool which you can use. Breakfast was simple but was good for the price and the coffee was very nice. Overall a good place to stop.

The hotel is a bit dated, but clean, and very reasonable. La Alberca is an amazing medieval village. My room on the top floor at the far end at the front was huge, with a large bathroom, and comfortable bed. I asked for an extra blanket, as even though it was the end of April, there was a hard frost in the night! There is wi-fi in the public areas, but it did not penetrate to my room. The breakfast buffet was limited but adequate.

Fantstic location in this wonderful old town in the mountains. The hotel is quirky but very comfortable with super friendly staff. The walk into the centre of the old town in a few minutes and well worth it as it is one of the quaintest places we have visited.

It is a very nice village in La Sierra Francia. The hotel is quiet but very close to the city center. The effort of the staff to make us feel at home made our stay there some of the best holidays we have had. We traveled with two babies and the staff was keeping an eye on us all the time. The rooms are spacious, clean and with great views. It has been a great experience!

La Alberca is a beautiful historic village with an old town square bustling with life. The hotel has spacious rooms with excellent large beds. Personel is very friendly. Lovely big back yard where guests can sit to have a drink and read a book. One minor point: breakfast a quite sober (no fresh fruit, industrially baked croissants and white bread, little choice of toppings; excellent coffee though)

We stayed at this family run hotel for 5 nights. The owner, Jose Maria was very good to us. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He went out of his way to help us and cater to our needs, including asking a friend of his to take us to our next destination. We met most of the family members and they were all very warm and kind people. We stayed on a Full board basis. The lunches and dinners were absolutely delicious and healthy, too - the best we have had in Spain, without getting sick during our stay in La Alberca. Would highly recommend this hotel to someone who wants to experience the 'real' Spain, and, meet 'genuine' Spanish people.

The staff at this hotel, especially the front desk are among the most friendly we encountered during our 2 week trip to Spain in august 2011. We almost felt like part of the family. the hotel is not in the center of town, but just a short walk away. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was large with nice wood floors. there is a fenced in area behind the hotel where you can sit outside at a table and relax and eat too. If I recall there was no Air conditioning in the room, but that did not affect us even during August. Parking was free and easy right in front of the hotel. Thank you Hotel Antiguas Eras for being so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay with you.
