After a nice bike ride we were looking forward in having a nice meal at this lovely restaurant. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. I ordered Egli Filet which I should've returned straight away. The filleted fish (so it was advertised) were full of bones....More

Dear Mrs. K
Sorry for your bad luck. You can always ask for changing your plate if it does not fit with your taste. As our perch does not have a lot of bones and the reaction I will double check with our Team of...More
This place is amazing! And...our server Ms. Pfeiffer especially amazing! She took care of us through the whole meal, leading us off with a most delicious local (hard to find elsewhere) wine, and ending is with an outstanding Mirabelle digestif! What great service-we will be...More

Murten is a walled town oozing with history, beauty and charm. The Hotel Murtenhof, with spectacular lakes views and a superb restaurant is the perfect place to stay.
We spent one night here and then took a convenient train to the Zurich Airport.

Yes there is free parking, about 8 spots (first come, first served, so hopefully you arrive when one is free). You need to get a key from the desk as each spot has a chain across it (till you unlock it). When you leave for the day, just lock up your spot and it will be there for you when you return. There is public parking very close by (20 feet away, tops), but I am unsure how much that costs. The hotel could tell you, though. All the staff speak excellent English. Enjoy! Super neat unique hotel!
