The hotel is located in a quiet end of the village next to some much more charming huts and houses. The room was spacious, quiet, with nice shower. Water pressure was good. The sauna is well taken care off, but open only 16 to 20. We enjoyed the generous breakfast offered.
The hotel has a good location. The supermarket and the ski area are within walking distance. The hotel is situated in a quiet area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, orderly and cozy. The only negative point was the food at the hotel. There was enough variety, but it was not very tasty. Despite this negative point, I would definitely recommend the hotel for a stay in Yllasjarvi.
It’s not a 5-star hotel, but deserves five stars for being excellent. The room was comfortable and clean, sauna was fantastic, gym was adequate, drying room useful, lounge and aurora watching rooms cozy. All employees were very friendly and helpful, really all from receptionists to cleaners. Breakfast was fulfilling and I especially loved the mango-buckthorn jam. Setting next to the ski trails and tundra is fantastic. During a week’s stay I only found two short-comings: - Instead of spoons there were wooden sticks with the cups and kettle in the room; - Sauna closed too early (8PM).
Had a one week stay here in Lapland. Well organized hotel staff, kind and friendly overall. International guests from all over Europe. Weather proof clothing included (cold protective suit, gloves, shoes, wool socks) - very useful and quite necessary @ -25 Celsius.....) Remarks what could be done better: Entrance Area cleaning (cigarette tips, ashtray) more frequently. Overall - unforgettable trip with stay in a good hotel....
The hotel is nice and quiet, at least on Thursday night for us. Staff is very welcoming, friendly and always happy to help. Breakfast was ok - minus points for not having bacon or eggs + plus points for dark roasted Löfberg's coffee, oatmilk, delicious fresh bread and for hand-picked bilberries. Sauna ready until 8 p.m., males and females separate saunas. Also possible to rent fatbikes! Can recommend.
Quiet hotel, that has all the basics. Also a gym for the customers. Helpfull and friendly staff. The hotel isn’t new but not out dated either. Didn’t have bacon on breakfast but other than that a good selection.
The fresh air and tranquility are fantastic only sometimes during the night there is some noise but that's from other guests who returning to the room so the rooms are not isolated against noise. It was very busy and also for the Safartica excursions sometimes it was in a rush or to many people and that did I not expect to be split in two groups. Over all it was a very nice experience and we would do it again. One week in the forest with every day an activity. In the evening dinner with a lot of choice and fresh fruits at the breakfast. Healthy and tasty and plenty for every one. Fresh flowers on the table and candles at the buffet. The staff is very friendly and helpful at all time, they work very hard to runs this hotel and this concept with the excursions.. You get your winter package with cloves, socks, suit, ... upon arrival and can use it the whole week. Rooms are cleaned not every day but you can ask for more and there are small but that's normal on a ski destination. There was a terras and that makes it good with view on the woods and ski piste. If you come for the cross country ski : THIS IS A DREAM :the route starts at the hotel. Bring good warm under clothes and go for it.…
Very nice hotel. A little old style but pleasant. Meals are buffet style. Breakfast could have been a little hotter but was nice. Staff were very helpful - There was always a big smile behind reception. They even helped us plan the rest of our trip. A very short bus journey to the Yllas ski slopes - €10 for day ticket and the bus runs every hour or so.
The hotel is not super young or high tech (no wifi in rooms for example) but comfortable enough. Breakfast food is good (bit meatballs) and the staff is friendly. It's also super centrally located. This is a perfectly fine hotel.
We spent four nights at this hotel. It was quite basic, a bit oldish but functional. The wi-fi was free but available only in the restaurant and lobby. The breakfast was included in the price. Every morning there was same cold cuts, vegetables and cerials. Porrage varied and also the other warm dishes, like becon, meatballs, fry-up and curd. Also every evening there was dinner or ala carte available. The ski tracks started just behind the hotel and the ski-bus picked up from hotel a couple of times a day. Our main purpose was to down-hill ski so the storage space in the room wasn't enough for ski boots and helmets. There was though a seperate room for skies and a dry room for clothes. Hotel also had a small gym, public sauna for hotel guests. You could also borrow snowshoes and kick sledges if you wanted. The closest grocery store and restaurant wereabout 3km away and the closest slopes about 4km away. The staff was quite friendly and helpfull.…
