It is not central on the promenade and not posh like the "big-ones" but the owners make up for it in any way. For a little extra you can even get "rooms with a view" if you need. Starting at the reception from day one you get personal treatment with any info you might need, offer for transfer to/from the trainstation etc. Buffet breakfast has everything one expects and probably more if need be. Expect the quality stay you ever wanted from a small family run hotel.
We were a family of five in a two bedroom apartment. We all had plenty of space and the only negative that I can think of is that the bathroom door is frosted glass with areas that are not frosted. It was awkward. It is possible to walk to the beach and restaurants and there was ample parking (even for a 9 passenger van). The typical European breakfast was adequate.
Clean and well run hotel. All staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much bother. Always eager to help and make your stay a happy one. Excellent buffet breakfast .An ideal place to enjoy beautiful Portschach.Easy to get to from Klagenfurt Airport.
The room was was nice, food for breakfest and dinner was very good, very friendly personnel. Park place is a bit small, but during my trip I always had place to leave a car. WiFi is a bit poor, therefore I suggest to bring alternative if you need to be accesible for work.
We stayed here for four nights in July 2015. The photos on the various booking websites do not do this hotel justice - the whole hotel is spotlessly clean and immaculately presented. Our room was modern with what appeared to be a brand new bathroom as well. Breakfast was really nice and had everything we needed. We didn't try the half board option but other guests said that the food in the evening was very nice as well. You can take your meals on the terrace or inside - we liked the wooden clad restaurant at the back of the hotel near the bar - it reminded us of a ski lodge. There is a free parking at the front of the hotel and at the rear plus a garage for bike storage (all included in the price). There is also a small sauna (infra red) and two loungers. Could this place be improved? I don't think so - it was really very nice indeed. Perhaps an obvious improvement would be for the hotel to include the Worthersee Card which offers free entry into local attractions. Other hotels in the town do offer this card - this wasn't a problem for us though as we were visiting a festival. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the town centre or about 3 minutes to cycle. We will certainly return here next year - highly recommended.…
