Calcutts House is in a convenient position to explore this area, and the Ironbridge itself is about 15 mins walk away. The property has a large car park at rear which is really handy. On arriving, we were warming welcomed by James and had tea and coffee in the lounge, given handy local info and given our keys. We stayed...

A lovely family run upmarket b&b in a delightful area. We arrive mid afternoon Saturday for a one night stay. The genial host made us fresh tea and coffee and gave us advice about the local area and local eateries. The room we had chosen was the William Hazeldine room with a Louis XV reproduction bed and some complementing furniture,...

A map is supplied with the confirmation but some better signage would be very useful - especially after dark. You get a very warm welcome to this interesting old house - but why no history of it? After all it is shown in famous paintings and much written about. I had a double bedded room for single occupancy in the...

We had need recently to travel through Shropshire on our way to Wales and decided, given the length of the journey, to break it in Telford. Realising that Ironbridge was nearby we decided to stay there overnight and take in the bridge and the town, before continuing our journey the next day. We booked online directly with Calcutts House for...

We were met and greeted by James on a dark November evening. As soon as we arrived he came out to meet us, helped my wife with her luggage and quick as a wink the kettle was on and we were treated to a hot pot of fresh coffee. We stayed in the coach house which was very roomy and...

We booked Calcutts house through booking.com and secured a reasonable price, but more importantly we were staying in Ironbridge or to me more precise Jackfield. Close to the tile museum which was on our list to visit. James is a wonderful host who greets you with a cup of tea in the common room and gives you a chance to...

This was the second time we had stayed in 'The Calcutts House' as we had stayed 5 years pervasively, and this was slightly different this time as the establishment was under new owners. Both James and Sarah made us feel very welcome and the cup of tea and cake on arrival was very much appreciated after a long journey up...

Our stay was only one night on our Visit to the area. The host was friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely and absolutely spotless. Bed was huge and comfortable, we stayed in The Lord Dundonald room. Our breakfast was chosen the night before via a menu card. In the morning the host greeted us, again friendly. What I liked...

We were in the main house in a wonderful period room. It was spacious and comfortable. We arrived a bit early, but it was no problem and James offered us tea in the sitting room. We filled out breakfast menus the night before and everything was ready quickly. The is a very convenient location in Iron Bridge, a bit out...
